Hoe flash ik de bios van mijn videokaart

Dag beste mensen,

Ik heb net allemaal van die files gedownload om mijn bios te flashen van mijn asus geforce2 mx + tv out

De files zijn gedownload van http://www.parkoz.pe.kr/

En met deze bios flash kun je je core speed en mem speed omhoog krikken zodat die bijvoorbeeld standaard op 200/200 staat in plaats van 175/166

Nu heb ik dus een file die eindigt op een bin extensie, maar ik weet niet wat ik nu verder moet doen

Dus als iemand me kan helpen harstikke bedankt

Let er wel op dat je kaart die waarden wel aan moet kunnen he? Probeer hem eerst eens met NVMax over te clocken tot die waarden en de kaart dan pas op die waarden te zetten door middel van een flash.

En om te flashen moet je nvflash hebben.

ik heb hem op 220 210 gekregen zonder koeling, nu wil ik met die flash heb op 200 200 krijgen, is er ook ergens een originele asus flash ergens te krijgen zodat ik hem altijd terug kan zetten?

Misschien dat nvflash de bios ook kan back-uppen. Denk het wel hoor, maar zeker weten doe ik het niet.

Waarom flashen/verneuken als je het ook met een tweaker kunt doen?! Een kleine moeite en het bespaart je een hoop ellende. Als je de *.bin hebt en je weet het nu al niet meer kun je het beter laten!!!!

moet ik nou een opstart disketten hebben voor pure dos mode, die files eropzetten en hem dan flashen

wat is de command van nvflash om te flashen en hoe back ik mijn bios up?

Daar zul je wel gelijk in hebben, maar ik zal wel te eigenwijs wezen dat ik het uiteindelijk toch ga proberen.

De laatste keer dat ik wat geflashed had was 2 jaar geleden, mijn cdbrander, dat ging altijd goed, maar hoe het precies ging, dat weet ik niet meer, vandaar dat ik hier vraag om hulp

er zit geen txt bestand bij btw

Correct me if i'm wrong, maar met NVMax kan je aanvinken dat ie na het opstarten je overclock settings meteen op 200/200 zet. Flashen hoeft alleen als er iets niet goed is of je wilt een Quadro maken

Het is ook geen officiele flash van asus of nvidia, gewoon een cool flash zal ik maar zeggen

Flashing & Dumping Tutorials

How-to dump if your Flash program doesn't support dumping.
All NVFlash'es before version 3 don't support dumping. So here's a tutorial
1.Download DUMPBIOS, (in the BIOS -> Flashing (& Dumping) Tools area)
2.Extract it in a directory.
3.Restart in MS-DOS mode (Win95 & 98: Press F8 while booting, choose Boot to MS-DOS Prompt).
4.Go the directory where you had extracted everything.
5.Type: "dumpbios". Your videocard's BIOS in now dumped in bios.bin.
The BIOS is dumped.

How-to dump using DFLash.
Some cards (mostly Diamond ones though are incompatible with the regular NVFlash programs. That's why Diamond has written their own flash program. DFlash. This is the tutorial on how to use it.
6.Restart in MS-DOS mode (Press F8 while booting, choose Boot to MS-DOS Prompt).
7.Go to the directory you have extracted DFlash in.
8.Type: "DFlash /df BIOS.ROM" (Exchange BIOS.ROM for the name you wish to give to the dumped ROM.
Your BIOS is now dumped.

How-to flash using DFLash.

15.Now relax and press CTRL-ALT-DEL. If everything had gone right than your system should now display the newly flashed BIOS. If your system doesn't come up you fucked-up your card...
Your system should now be happily running the NVidia reference BIOS

How-to dump using NVFlash 3.03
NVidia changed the options in version 3.00 so here is a tutorial on how to dump your BIOS using NVFlash 3
16.Download NVFlash 3.03 (or newer), (in the BIOS -> Flashing (& Dumping) Tools area ) and DOS4GW (also in the BIOS -> Flashing (& Dumping) Tools area).
17.Extract all files in one directory
18.Restart in MS-DOS mode (Press F8 while booting, choose Boot to MS-DOS Prompt).
19.Go the directory where you had extracted.
20.Type: "NVFlash -bBIOSNAME.ROM". (Exchange BIOSNAME.ROM for the name you wish to give to the dumped BIOS.)
You've now dumped your BIOS

How-to flash using NVFlash 3.03
NVidia changed the options in version 3.00 so here is a tutorial on how to flash your BIOS using NVFlash 3

25.Go the directory where you had extracted everything and type: "NVFlash -r". This will disable write-protection in case it is activated on your card. Your monitor might turn off for a while but that's ok.
26.Now type: "nvflash -fBIOSNAME.ROM" (Exchange BIOSNAME.ROM for the name of your bios. Example: "nvflash -fnv5bt.rom"). Your monitor will go in a stand-by (up to a minute). DO NOT RESTART THE COMPUTER UNTIL THE SCREEN HAS COME BACK!
27.Now relax and press CTRL-ALT-DEL. If everything had gone right than your system should now display the newly flashed BIOS. If your system doesn't come up you fucked-up your card...
Your system should now be happily running the BIOS you wanted to flash.

How-to flash using cracked Guillemot Flash program.
Guillemot uses newer versions of NVFlash but they have modified it a bit. So here are the instructions.
28.First of all... Backup your BIOS!
29.Download giflash 3.13 (or newer), (in the BIOS -> Flashing (& Dumping) Tools area) and DOS4GW (also in the BIOS -> Flashing (& Dumping) Tools area).
30.Extract all files in one directory and copy the reference bios you wish to flash also in the directory.
31.Rename the biosfile you're using to "BIOSFIL.ROM" (without the quotes.
32.Restart in MS-DOS mode (Press F8 while booting, choose Boot to MS-DOS Prompt).
33.Go the directory where you had extracted everything and type: "hflash". Your monitor will go in a stand-by (up to a minute). DO NOT RESTART THE COMPUTER UNTIL THE SCREEN HAS COME BACK!
34.Now relax and press CTRL-ALT-DEL. If everything had gone right than your system should now display the newly flashed BIOS. If your system doesn't come up you fucked-up your card...
Your system should now be happily running the BIOS you wanted to flash

How-to use VGABIOS <tutorial/vgabios.html>

VGABIOS
VGABIOS is a program that allows you to use a BIOS without having to flash it in your videocard's EEPROM (flash bios).
This example is for people with Windows 9x. You can't use VGABIOS on WinNT and Win2000 systems.
This tutorial assumes your BIOS is called nv5bt.rom and you wish to place VGABIOS in the C:\VGABIOS directory. If you wish to change one of these things then replace them with the ones you use.
Beware! You can't put VGABIOS in directory longer than 8 characters. (Yes, I do know that it is possible but it's not worth the extra hassle.
35.Create a directory C:\VGABIOS (or wherever you want it, but this will be the directory in this example)
36.Copy vgabios.exe in C:\VGABIOS
37.Copy your bios file in C:\VGABIOS
38.Restart in MS-DOS mode (Press F8 while booting, choose Boot to MS-DOS Prompt).
39.Go to C:\VGABIOS (cd C:\VGABIOS)
40.Type: "vgabios -fBIOSNAME.ROM" (Exchange BIOSNAME.ROM for the filename of your bios. For example: "vgabios -fnv5bt.rom")
41.Start windows by typing: WIN
42.Go to your Display panel (Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Display -> Settings -> Advanced -> (TNT/TNT2/GeForce, Whatever chip your card uses) and look at the BIOS Version. It should be the one that you used in VGABIOS. If it doesn't than you did something wrong.
43.Run a few programs, games, etc. to see if the BIOS works for your system.
If you are satisfied you can make it permament by flashing it with NVFlash or make semi-permanemt by putting VGABIOS in your autoexec.bat:
1.Open autoexec.bat with notepad.
2.Add this line to the bottom: "C:\VGABIOS\VGABIOS.EXE -fC:\VGABIOS\BIOSNAME.ROM". (Exchange BIOSNAME.ROM for the filename of your biosfile.
3.Save the file.
4.Restart your system.
5.Go to your Display panel (Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Display -> Settings -> Advanced -> (TNT/TNT2/GeForce, Whatever chip your card uses) and look at the BIOS Version. It should be the one that you used in VGABIOS. If it doesn't than you did something wrong.
6.Run a few programs, games, etc. to see if the BIOS works for your system.
Your system should now be happily running the NVidia reference BIOS.

Dat heet nou tweaken...

Ik heb mijn Gforce Hercules MX zelf aangepast zodat ie op 200/220 loopt. Werkt 1000000000000000x beter dan die duffe ruk-programma's zoals nvmax en powerstrip.

Gewoon raggen die bios, is toch leuk?

(Ik heb wel trouwens de luxe dat hercules leuke support heeft op hun site voor flashen).

Nou, als jij nog een pci kaartje over hebt (maakt niet uit hoe sloom/slecht) is dat niet zo moeilijk nee... kijk uit dat je niet in "stealth" mode gaat flashen want het klinkt wel cool, maar dat is het dus niet dan zie je dus niet wat je doet...

How to dump and flash with NVflash

I've included this file with the zip, because i thought the included readme was a bit lacking.

Alright, this is the program you will use to flash most NVidia based cards. It's pretty simple to use, and it uses the DOS command line. First of all, know that I take no responsibility for whatever happens to use card while using this program. I'm only describing the steps which many have used to successfully flash their video card bios. Also know that flashing your bios will most likely void any warranty that came with the card. Okay, let's get on with the show.

Dumping-

Dumping is pretty easy. There's only a few steps, and you definately need to do this before you flash your card.

1. Boot into dos. With win9x you can either use a startup disk, or use the F8 menu, however in win2k/nt4/XP you must use a startup disk as NT has NO DOS.

2. Go to the directory where u put NVflash. If you don't know how to switch directories in DOS you probably shouldn't be flashing your VGA bios either.

3. at the command prompt type "NVFlash -bBiosnamehere.rom" where "Biosnamehere.rom" is the name you wish to assign to your dumped bios file. BOOM! ur bios is dumped.

Flashing-

Again, flashing is pretty easy too. There's only a few steps, but follow them closely or you may end up flashing your card in "Stealth mode". As cool as it sounds, it's not very fun, since you won't be able to see what your doing. Also, make sure NOT to turn off your computer or restart your computer while flashing the bios. Else, you may result to "Stealth mode" as well. But anyway, on with the instructions.

1. Put the NVflash in the same directory as the bios which you want to flash your card with along with DOS4GW.

2. Restart into DOS mode as described in Dumping- #1.

3. Goto the directory with Nvflash in it.

4. BACKUP YOUR BIOS! If for whatever reason the Nvidia bios causes problems, you want to be able to revert to the old working bios.

5. At the command prompt, type "NVFlash -r". This just disables write-protection on the Bios. Your screen may flicker for a bit, but don't worry. It's normal.

6. Type "nvflash -fBiosnamehere.rom" where "Biosnamehere.rom" is the name of the bios you wish to flash your card with. Now DO NOT TURN OFF YOUR COMPUTER OR RESTART IT UNTIL YOUR SCREEN COMES BACK ON. If you do you'll corrupt the bios.

7. After the screen comes back you may restart your computer and pray. If it displays the Nvidia reference bios, you've successfully flashed your bios. If not, you didn't flash correctly, and if it displays nothing, you've got one hell of a paper weight.

is wel tof : deze computer is eigendom van...

en geen mens die het zomaar weg kan halen (ja, videokaart eruit, maar in normale bios kan het ook nog)
