Macbook Pro Retina - Brommend geluid

Hallo,

Soms maakt mijn Macbook een zacht brommend geluid. Het geluid komt van rechts bovenaan.
Het geluid komt en gaat, vooral bij het verplaatsen van de laptop kan het soms voorkomen.

Iemand enig idee wat het probleem is?

Welk model (jaar, formaat, type) MacBook pro heb je precies? Bij dit soort symptomen denk ik snel aan mechanische onderdelen, dat kan nogal verschillen per model.

Ik kan natuurlijk niet inschatten of het een (ab-)normaal geluid is. Op die plek zit wel een ventilator in je Macbook. Deze draait uiteraard rond en draait harder wanneer er meer koeling vereist is.

Een kapotte fan kan uiteindelijk wel zeer nadelige gevolgen voor je systeem hebben, zeker wanneer hij besluit om helemaal niet meer te koelen. Mid-2015, goede kans dat het gewoon voor je gefixt wordt als je ermee naar een Apple store gaat. Als je nog garantie hebt kun je hem geloof ik ook gewoon bij een reseller droppen.

In de comments van dat filmpje worden verschillende oplossingen gesuggereerd.

Solved with light tapping and blowing hard into vent at back. Must have been a piece of dust. Seriously that simple!

Hey! I think I have a solution to this.

I have had that issue as well. I tried hitting that side of the laptop, blowing in the back and all that good stuff. None of it worked permanently. It seemed like the clearance between the actual fan and the base it is attached to was too small. Swaying the laptop back and forth actually changed the scraping sound's pitch. There is a natural wobble of the fan, but swaying should still not make it scrape... that is how I came to the conclusion of the clearance being too low.

I decided to pop the back cover off and have a look. Took out the entire fan and opened its casing to where the fan was completely exposed. I used a tiny Flathead screw driver and VERY carefully started prying the fan upward off of its base a bit, until i felt a very slight pop (do not pop the fan of its base). I did this symmetrically all around the fan (this will increase the fan to base clearance). Please do not pry too hard, however. You do not want the fan to pop off.

De fan lijkt aan te lopen (kabeltje komt er licht tegen aan bijvoorbeeld) of het lagertje (als die er al in zit) heeft slijtage.
