Snapraid maakt sync niet af?

Ik ben voor het eerst een snapraid aan het opzetten. Ik heb hiervoor de GUI tool Elucidate gebruikt. In eerste instantie heb ik één folder op de C schijf gedaan. Dat ging prima, recoveren ook.

Nu heb ik hem vannacht twee oudere harde schijven in een pool laten zetten. Echter op 27% is hij ermee opgehouden.

Systeem heeft 8 GB ram, doelschijven zijn 1 en 2 TB. Parity disk is 8TB.

Op de error code kon ik niets vinden. Iemand enig idee wat ik nu moet doen?

De snapraid.exe is dus verdwenen .

Na even zoeken bleek Norton hem te hebben verwijderd. Ik heb dit nu opgelost (en snapraid.exe aan de exception list toegevoegd). Echter het lukt me nog niet om het proces voor te zetten.

Zo ver ik heb begrepen moet de auto-save ervoor zorgen dat je het in delen kunt doen. Het parity bestand is echter slechts 147MB. Uit de status bleek dat 886881 MB was verwerkt = 3x 250 GB. Vreemd!

Gebruik je het op een professionele manier of is dit voor thuis? Indien het laatste, kan je de virusscanner eens helemaal uitschakelen? Ik heb negatieve ervaringen met Norton en het cancelen van bepaalde threads van applicaties.

Ik ga eerst even kijken of de exclude helpt (heb de hele snapraid map in exclude van SONAR gezet). Werkt dat niet dan probeer ik het nog een keer zonder Norton. Ik zie in ieder geval al direct een groot verschil: Het .parity bestand is nu direct 1.5 TB, dat was 0 KB. Alleen het .content bestand was gisteren gevuld.

Over een uurtje of 6 zou het geheel klaar moeten zijn. Ik zie dat het vooral de 2 TB ecogreen schijf is die de boel ophoudt. De 8 TB Archive hdd is slechts 25% belast (parity disk) en de 1 TB spinpoint komt weg met circa 50% belasting. Maar goed, de totale snelheid van 144 MB/s is nog wel te overzien.

Recovery ook getest door een map van 2 GB te verwijderen. Binnen een minuut had hij hem teruggezet, indrukwekkend.

misschien domme vraag....hoe start jij die gui? gewoon op een EXE dubbelklik?

want ik kan nergens een EXE vinden in het zip-file van elucidate....en trouwens....elucidate is niet meer met snapraid v11 compatible. wel met versie 10 van snapraid. omdat een en ander in snapraid v11 flink veranderd is.

verder is snapraid een geweldige programma, als je met commands en filters kan omgaan

yep, en elucidate is niet meer compatible met snapraid v11. elucidate werkt alleen met snapraid tot versie 10. sinds versie 11 snapraid is er functionaliteit dat het SPLIT PARITY heet. waardoor elucidate niet meer werkt

De commando's gaan prima. Config bouwen gaat wellicht niet goed.
