Maar 1x ADSL Internet met router??? - Netwerken

Beste tweakers,

Ik heb sinds kort ADSL basic

Dus snel ff een router gekocht om dit geluk te delen met mijn onderburen.
Helaas kom ik er niet uit en ben ik al 2 dagen aan het pielen

Ik kan momenteel maar met 1 PC ADSL-en door in de router de Global Port op 10.0.0.150 te zeteen (statisch IP) en het subnetmasker op 255.255.255.0. Vervolgens maak ik dan verbinding op mijn pc in Win2k Pro met VPN (PPTP), dus met password en username en dat 10.0.0.138 pc1-gedoe.

Ik dacht dat die router eigenlijk die VPN zo opzetten ipv mijn pc. Die router moet toch "inbellen"??? Dat doet tie dus niet!!!

Tech info:

Beide pc's draaien Win2k Pro
Beide pc's krijgen automatisch DNS en IP
De router is een Billion 640 IP Router

O ja, het lokale netwerk werkt wel, kan dus bestanden delen enzo.

The Billion BIPAC-640 functions as an IEEE 802.3 Ethernet-based DSL/Cable IP-Sharing Router. It provides four 10/100 Dual Speed Ethernet port for connection to a home or small office network and one 10Mb Ethernet port for a DSL Modem, Cable Modem, or other Broadband access device.

The product is an integrated Internet IP sharing device with a built-in 4-port 10/100Mbps Base-T NWay Ethernet switch. It is the perfect solution to connect a small group of PCs to a high-speed broadband Internet connection. Multi-users can have high-speed Internet access simultaneously via one single IP address of the Cable/xDSL modem.

This product serves as an Internet firewall, protecting your network from being accessed by outside users. All incoming data packets are monitored and filtered. It can also be configured to block internal users from accessing to the Internet.

The product provides the safety and security of ports blocking and a natural firewall as well as integrated NAT support that allows up to 32 users to share a single Internet Connection. Static address support, integrated client/server DHCP, and device name support will allow the IP Share device to connect to nearly any Broadband provider, and at the same time simplify local area network settings.

The product has four local 10/100 Dual Speed Ethernet ports and one 10Mb Ethernet global port. The local ports can be connected directly to a single computer to provide added security from hackers and others on the Internet or it can be connected to an Ethernet or Fast Ethernet hub or switch to provide Internet Sharing and Firewall protection to a local area network. The global port can be connected to any Cable, DSL, or Broadband modem with an Ethernet port.

The product provides two levels of security support. First, it masks local users¡Ŝ IP addresses from others on the Internet making it much more difficult for a hacker to target a machine on your network. Secondly it can block and redirect certain ports to limit the services that outside users can access. The user, to ensure that games and other Internet applications will run properly, can open specific ports.

Unlike proxy server or NAT software that requires the software server to remain visible on the Internet, no local computers are directly externally visible when using this product. Also this product, like broadband, is always on, removing the need to constantly boot a software server when access is desired from a client. No client software is required to connect to the product so it will support any operating system that can connect to a network whether PC or Apple based. Telnet and Terminal setup are operating system independent. However, the Configuration Program of this product must run on Microsoft Windows (95, 98, NT, 2000 or ME).

Integrated DHCP services allow up to 128 users to get their IP address automatically on boot up from the product. Client machines require no software, simply set them to accept a dynamically assigned IP address and reboot. Each time they are powered up the IP Share device will recognize them and set their IP address to instantly connect them to the LAN.

For advanced users Virtual Service support allows the IP Share device to provide limited visibility to local machines and their services as dictated by the user. An ISP provided IP address can be set to the product and then specific services can be rerouted to specific computers on the local network. For instance, a dedicated web server can be connected to the Internet via the product and then incoming requests for HTML that are received by the product can be rerouted to the original server, even though the server now has a different IP address. In this example, the product is on the Internet and vulnerable to attacks, but the server is protected.

Virtual Service can also be used to re-task services to multiple servers. For instance, the product can be set to allow separate FTP, Web, and Multiplayer game servers to share the same Internet-visible IP address while still protecting the servers and local users from hackers.

Breng die router terug en koop een Vigor 2200e,die werkt gegarandeerd met adsl. Is te koop bij de Atstore voor iets meer dan 500 piek. En dat is inclusief een 4 ports 10/100Mbit switch.

Met "pass thru" bedoelen ze dus dat je vanachter je router naar het internet een VPN tunnel op kan zetten, NIET dat de router zelf pptp snapt. Omruilen dus.

Heb zelf een Draytek Vigor 2200e, werkt perfect, configureren kost je max vijf minuten.
