Microsoft edge is verdwenen

Probeer het hier maar eens, edge is niet meer aanwezig na een systeemherstel. Misschien is er een oplossing zonder een clean install.
Onderstaand is doorlopen zonder resultaat

Looks like Microsoft has some work to do. I was happy that Windows 10 had worked great for 2 weeks - then the start button, and the search box went dead and Edge disappeared from my task bar. I was fortunate to have accidentally set a restore point. A system restore brought back the start button and search box but the Edge icon remains somewhere in hyperspace. I also lost several days worth of Microsoft Solitaire which I hope to regain by replaying the games.

Kan je de exe niet ergens vinden op je bestandssysteem?

Nee nergens, complete gone

Edge staat wel als standaard browser en opent met een hmtl link. Is dus wel ergens maar niet met een icon of exe te starten

Als je hem kan starten kan je toch eigenschappen op het proces doen? En als je hem kan starten moet toch ergens een exe staan?

How to Reinstall Microsoft Edge Browser
I had faced similar issues with the edge browser. It disappeared one day. There was no way to manually launch the edge browser. I was finally able to fix it by following the below steps

First we need to delete the corrupt edge folder. The path => C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe

Delete the "Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe" Folder

You may not able to delete the folder itself and 2 or 3 files. but it does'nt matter. Select the folder, Hit Delete, Then if it asks for admin privileges, Just hit skip and then ok . Restart the computer.

Then Launch Powershell as administrator and run the following command. Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers -Name Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml" -Verbose}

Hit enter and once the command is executed, Quit powershell and restart the computer to complete the process.

The edge browser will be back and running in all its glory.

Dat is het, alles is weer hersteld naar default. Ik moet toch toegeven dat dit een razend snelle browser is.

Voor al diegenen waarvoor bovenstaande procedure niet werkt, zoals bij mij, hieronder een workaround.


Ga via Verkenner naar je favorieten en klik op een willekeurige link. De link zal worden opgestart met Edge. Plaats je favoriete home-page in de adresbalk en klik op enter. Klik vervolgens op de 3 bullits in de rechter bovenhoek en kies daarbinnen voor: Deze pagina aan Start vastmaken .


Als je nu op de startknop drukt zie je een tegel staan met daarin een verwijzing naar je home-page. Als je er op klikt start Edge op en toont je home-page.
