Postfix STARTTLS error

Hallo Programmers,
Ik heb sinds een paar dagen een probleem met mijn mailserver. Ik draai een postfix/dovecot combinatie op een dedicated server van kimsufi in een Ubuntu omgeving. Eerst had ik geen problemen met mail ontvangen en verzenden maar sinds ik probeer om de mailserver te encrypten met SSL krijg ik een error. Heb de logs en configuratie bestanden meerdere keren bekeken en geprobeerd om het op te lossen maar heb geen idee.

Ik dacht eerst dat er misschien een andere mail daemon draaide die een fout veroorzaakte. Echter is dat ook niet zo:

Wanneer ik een mail probeer te versturen met de configuratie hierboven in main.conf krijg ik een error "5.7.0 Must issue a STARTTLS command first". Ook wanneer ik een mail vanaf een ander account probeer te versturen naar de mailserver van mijzelf krijg ik een notification terug van de mailserver met dezelfde error. Echter als ik de volgende code comment kan ik wel ontvangen maar nog niet versturen:

Je server accepteert geen unencrypted connecties enkel encrypted.

Je forceert encryptie. Configureer je mailclient dus dat hij direct STARTTLS stuurt en de handshake begint.

Als je ook "gewoon" mail van anderen wilt ontvangen op die server, zet smtpd_tls_security_level dan niet op "encrypt" voor gewone SMTP delivery, maar doe dat bijvoorbeeld alleen op de submission poort (587).

Sowieso heb je zo te zien maar wat gedaan in je configuratie, als je nu regel voor regel je oude en nieuwe configuratie had vergeleken dan was je er wel uitgekomen. En dit is natuurlijk geen probleem voor programmeurs, want die snappen niets van serverconfiguratie

Bedankt voor de reacties, heb inderdaad over het hoofd gezien dat ik smtpd_tls_security_level op encrypt heb staan. Heb dit aangepast en kan nu gewoon ontvangen.

Ik heb inderdaad de laatste tijd gewoon maar wat gedaan in mijn configuratie omdat ik het gewoon niet kon fixen. Ben geen held in mailservers en de configuratie hiervan, als ik nu een SSL encryptie wil hebben op port 465 hoe zou ik dat dan moeten aanpassen in de postfix configuratie? Heb enkele dingen aangepast maar krijg nog steeds een STARTTLS "error".

Poort 465 werkt niet met STARTTLS. Poort 465 werkt met TLS, punt. Dat krijg je zo goed als gratis als je een standaardconfiguratie pakt en dat wordt geregeld door regel 30: smtpd_tls_wrappermode.

STARTTLS is alleen nuttig om verbindingen die normaliter unencrypted beginnen te "upgraden" naar TLS versleuteling. Het is dus bruikbaar voor poort 25 om aan te bieden om te upgraden naar TLS, maar niet verplicht. De message submission poort (587) is vergelijkbaar, maar die is niet bedoeld om mail op af te leveren, maar om mail aan te bieden om te versturen. Dat is dus veel meer geschikt om met STARTTLS die encryptie te forceren, omdat het typisch wordt gebruikt door eindgebruikers.
