Verplaatsen RAID 5 van ICH7R naar Z97 mogelijk?

Hallo,

Ik heb een ASUS P5WDG2 Workstation Professional moederbord met daarop een ICH7R chipset van Intel. Daaraan een RAID 5 met 3 disken. Nu heb ik een Asrock Z97 Extreme 4 met ook een Intel chipset en ook al met RAID ingeschakeld ... zou ik nu die raid 5 kunnen oppakken en overhangen? Beiden werken met Intel Rapid Storage Technology dus je zou verwachten dattie zijn eigen voorganger herkent ..

tricky?

p.s. overhangen van mijn andere raid set met 4 disken in raid 5 op een Areca ARC 1110 naar een ARC 1210 ging prima !

Z97 heeft ICH10R aan boord en zou dus de RAID-array moeten herkennen.

Serieus?? wtf .. dat heb ik helemaal gemist dan. Niet dat ik je niet geloof maar waar staat dat beschreven? Zo keek ik hier maar daar wordt het niet genoemd.

Nee als ik wist dat het om de ICH10R ging had ik deze vraag nooit hier gesteld want dan is het gewoon plug and play .. thanks

note: zet je chipset in de bios eerst in RAID alvorens dit te proberen!

note: installeer je OS ook direct in de RAID modus anders heeft ie de verkeerde driver als je hem omzet

jeuh het is gelukt



samen knus met mijn Crucial SSD op de Z97 plug-and-play!

en de performance van 3x Samsung 1TB is ook best aardig voor een getransplanteerde RAID 5



en de SSD voor de volledigheid ..





ow .. en ik kreeg trouwens nog een officiële reply van Intel hierover!

The new motherboard should be able to read without any problem the RAID
volume you have in the old motherboard. Both motherboards support the
same type of RAID volumes so it will be recognized by the new system.
Please make sure the SATA mode is set to RAID in the BIOS before you
install the hard drives in the system.
