IsoHunt made a big splash telling everyone that oldpiratebay.org is a resurrection of TPB. They "copied the database". People seem convinced because (i) it holds lots of torrents and (ii) it has some new stuff.
But it's not the old TPB database. It's simply a mirror of the Isohunt.to database.
Check this search for "interstellar":

You see the exact same torrents, ordered in the same way, with the exact same number of seeds and leechers. Same data presented, same age, same everything. Try the search on kickass or extratorrent or anywhere else. Sure, some of the same torrents but not the same order, not the same metadata.
Try any search. Any keywords. Everything is identical.

Sure, it's a big torrent database that uses thepiratebay in the domain and comes from a site you can (probably) trust to deliver decent content. But it's NOT a resurrection of TPB.
