IFTTT - Ervaringen en discussie

IFTTT, welke staat voor if this then that, is een app voor je telefoon om conditioneel bepaalde acties te automatiseren.

Het gebruik is zeer simpel en de conditionele statements worden 'recipes' genoemd. Deze zijn zeer makkelijk te maken, ook zijn er wat voorbeeld-recipes te vinden op de site.
Vooral de integratie van andere apps is handig.
Het is een beetje Tasker for dummies

Voorbeelden zijn bijvoorbeeld
* 's avonds belgeluid uit, 's ochtend belgeluid weer aan
* een notificatie als het gaat regenen
* wifi aan zodra je op een bepaalde locatie bent (bijv thuis of op werk)
* Als je een foto maakt met Instagram dat deze ook gelijk naar je Dropbox geüpload wordt

Nu dacht ik dat het misschien een leuk idee was om er een topic over te starten.
Misschien dat mensen hun recipes willen delen, vragen hebben of andere ervaringen willen delen.

Ik zit ook wat te kijken op IFTTT, heb er eens een paar weken mee gespeeld, maar kan niet echt handige toepassingen vinden. Verder dan 'zet je gemaakte foto's in evernote' kom ik niet echt.

Anderen wel interessante voorgekookte opties op goede recepten?

Daarin staan wat dingen die voor mij niet acceptabel zijn.

• Ze mogen zonder notificatie al jouw gegevens delen met 'partners' mits die het niet weer delen met vierden.
• Verder als ze ooit opgekocht worden of failliet gaan geef jij nu toestemming dat de koper, volledig vrijspel heeft om te doen wat zij willen met je data.

Sinds vandaag heeft Logitech de firmware geupdate voor haar Harmony Smart Control en daarmee IFTTT support toegevoegd. Of dit zinvol is moet ik nog gaan ondervinden, maar in ieder geval is het een leuke toevoeging!

Ik ben er ook een beetje mee aan het spelen.
Ik wil eigenlijk dat wanneer mijn alarm van mijn iphone af gaat, er een event getriggerd word (Domoticz ,scene starten op basis van een json url)
Dat event wat getriggerd moet worden lukt wel. Dat kan met het Maker Channel. Daar knal je gewoon de URL in.
Maar ik kan nergens iets vinden wat checked of het alarm van mijn telefoon afgaat.

Ik weet niet of er een trigger is die het alarm van je iPhone kan waarnemen. Zelf heb ik momenteel via voice activation de mogelijkheid om mijn lampen aan/uit te schakelen. Echter zit er een redelijke vertraging van het verzenden naar IFTTT totdat de lamp daadwerkelijk schakelt.
