gtx 780 ti 2.0 16 x ipv 3.0 16x

hallo tweakers ,

ik heb sinds gisteren een asus gtx 780 ti en hiervoor een sapphire tri x r9 290

nu gaf cpu Z bij die sapphire kaart aan pci 3.0 16 x .

maar nu bij de gtx 780 ti zegt die steeds 2.0 16 x die behoort toch ook op 3.0 te gaan ?

ik heb al een andere gpu-z gedownload kaart een x verwisseld van slot mocht niet baten , iemand van jullie hiermee bekend ?

Users of systems running Core i7 processors in the LGA2011 package and X79 chipset motherboards will find that their GeForce GTX 680 will not run at PCI-Express 3.0 x16 mode, using launch drivers. This is because NVIDIA decided against implementing Gen 3.0 support for the new GPU on X79/SNB-E systems, at the very last moment. Pre-launch drivers, including the driver that ships on discs with the graphics cards, and review drivers (which cannot be distributed), will let the GPU run at Gen 3.0 mode on some X79/SNB-E systems, however the post-launch stable drivers (such as GeForce 301.10 WHQL), won't. The specifications page of GeForce GTX 680 on GeForce.com has been updated to mention this:
GeForce GTX 680 supports PCI Express 3.0. The Intel X79/SNB-E PCI Express 2.0 platform is only currently supported up to 5GT/s (PCIE 2.0) bus speeds even though some motherboard manufacturers have enabled higher 8GT/s speeds. Sources in the PC motherboard industry we spoke with, confirmed this change. PCI-Express 3.0 x16, for now, might only run on upcoming "Ivy Bridge" Core systems, running on motherboards with PCI-Express 3.0 compliant components. NVIDIA could be working to fix the issue.


Bios update al geprobeerd? Laatste Nvidia drivers zijn geinstalleerd?

Hehe ik heb daar nooit op gelet maar ik zie dat mijn Asus ook 2.0 aangeeft. Zit wel goed denk ik. Ik heb zelf ongeveer dezelfde config als jij alleen een Asus Rampage IV Extreme

Als je geen performance problemen heb zou ik me er niet teveel zorgen over maken, als je wel minder performance haalt als te verwachten zou ik het pas gaan uitzoeken.

ik heb net de bios via asus gpu tweak geupdate en de laatste drivers zijn geinstalleerd 340.52

@deem bedankt heb je tooltje gedownload opnieuw opgestart en nu staat die op 3.0 x16 @ x16 1.1

Ik heb inmiddels ook dat tooltje gebruikt en bij mij staat die nu ook op 3.0 Kijken of ik verschil ga merken. Bedankt iedereen. Zonder dit topic was het me niet eens opgevallen

Ik merk nu ik mijn 780Ti in PCI-E 3.0 heb staan dat mijn CPU flink minder wordt belast tijdens het spelen van Watch_Dogs. Kan dit kloppen?
