Netbeui policy windows 7 32bit

Op de zaak hebben wij een pc die nog via het oude netwerk protocol netbeui gebruikt om te communiceren met een testkast. Helaas is er geen andere optie.

We hebben dit al werkende gehad op een windows 7 32 bit pc. Echter daarvan is de harde schijf overleden.

Inmiddels is het systeem werkende, netbeui is geïnstalleerd op de netwerkkaart van deze verbinding.

Echter... geen verbinding met de testkast.

Dit was te verwachten vorige keer hebben we ook ondervonden.

Toen is er een policy aangepast om netbeui volledig te ondersteunen. Echter welke!?

Het is overigens een directe verbinding, zonder tussenkomst van routers.

Dit heb ik inmiddels al gevonden en uitgevoerd, maar nog geen verandering vd situatie.

You need to edit the Local Security Policy of any machine that you are going to map...
1. Run the Local Security Policy App (secpol.msc), Start --> All Programs --> Administrative Tools --> Local Security Policy
2. Go to Local Policies, Security Options and choose "Network Security: LAN Manager Authentication Level"
3. Set it to "Send LM & NTLM, use NTMLv2 session if negotiated"
That's it... worked like a charm for me!

Pakketten worden wel verstuurd, maar er worden geen pakketten ontvangen

Leg even uit hoe je dit gedaan hebt, want NetBEUI komt niet OOB in windows 7

Hoe stel je dat vast? Wireshark? Post in dat geval eens een stukje van de trace

Ik heb Netbeui geïnstalleerd door het protocol handmatig toe te voegen.

as a temporary measure, follow the instructions below.

* copy nbf.sys into the %SYSTEMROOT%\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ directory
* copy netnbf.inf into the %SYSTEMROOT%\INF\ directory
* open network connection properties and use "Install..." button to add NetBEUI protocol

Maar dat was niet voldoende, het is inmiddels gelukt met deze tip:


I discovered this while trying to get Windows 7 to map to shares on a Buffalo TeraStation (which uses Samba I believe). Win 7 has issues mapping drives on Linux/Unix boxes... this cures the issue!
