Hi all,
got a weird issue going on for a week now.
Setup:
Computer;
Dualcore 2,5GHz
4GB RAM
SSD
Camera's:
2x Foscam FI8910W
1x Foscam FI9804W
Worked fine for a couple of months (24/7 recording @ 30% cpu usage)
Since a week I noticed that my CPU usage was extremely high and I know what causes it but not a solution.
2x FI8910W recording > ~15% cpu
2x FI8910W + 1x FI9804W viewing > 65% cpu
2x FI8910W + 1x FI9804W recording > 95% cpu
1x FI9804W recording > 60% cpu
So for some kind of reason the 9804 takes a lot of cpu but as told, worked fine before
What I tried:
Lowered FPS on the 9804 > 88% cpu
Tried different streams on the 9804 > no changes
Reinstalled Ispy > no changes
Installed it on my I7 machine > no changes
It looks that their something in Ispy which causes this but I can't figure out why.
What to do?
----------------------------------------------
Removed the mediafolder > no changes
Downgraded .net to version 4.0 > no changes
BIOS update > no changes
VGA driver update > newest already installed
Firmware update camera's > newest installed
Run memtest86+ to check for memory errors > ran for 12 hours without problems.
edit: Limiting live view to 2FPS reduces the cpu usage to ~17% but when hitting the record button > 100%!
Note: This was before around ~30% cpu usage
Note2: Other software like blue iris for ex. hits up to 40% cpu when recording all cams.
Stil buggy
tl;dr:
3 IP camera's
Software: Ispy
Pleh!
