BIOS temp info BE6-II

heb m'n CuMine 500E@700, toen gaf mij HWDOCTOR voor BE6II aan dat sys1 25C sys2 30C en CPU 45C was, nu heb ik een nieuwe cooler, TennMax MEGA7+coolpasta, en nu is het 25, 30, 30, MAAR in de BIOS is het 25,30,46.....
heb well die losse termometer op de CPU die geplakt inplaats van in mijn cooler.

ik weet niet precies welke temp die waar vandaan haald...

Dit komt omdat op het moment dat jij in je BIOS kijkt er nog geen programma draait dat de CPU uitschakelt als deze niet gebruikt wordt.
Normaal zorgt ACPI hiervoor, maar het kan ook gebeuren door tooltjes als Rain en CPUIDLE.

Beide CPU temperatuur waarden zijn dus correct! Ze worden op dezelfde plaats gemeten maar onder ander omstandigheden.

Ik heb trouwens ook een MEGA7 cooler, dingetje wordt erg onderschat. Altijd maar dat gezeur over APLHA's en Golden Orb's. Ga er mischien wel een ander fannetje opzetten (60 x 60 x 25).

Your test on the MEGA7 cooler was for me one of the reasons to buy it. I think the cooler is a bit underrated. I'm considering to put another fan on it, sounds familiar?

Hiro Shima had a question about the CPU temperature difference in the BIOS and under Windows. This question combined with the ownership of the MEGA7 cooler made your test a good reference.

By the way, if I put on a 25 mm high fan, do I need other screws? If yes, what kind?

I believe the screws will be long enough, if you install a 25mm high fan. If not, I would recommend you take the stock screws to your local hardware store, and ask for similiar screws that are appropriately longer. Sorry for not knowing for sure, but I wrote that review some time ago, and have since dismantled the Mega7 and turned it into a video card cooler!

Perhaps I'll do the same with my Intel stock cooler. Did you use the heatsink and/or the fan for your video card?
Maybe an interesting topic for an article because a lot of people replace the Intel cooler with another cooler. And it would be nice to re-use the obsolete stock cooler.

By the way, I ordered the Y.S. Tech 60mm fan (26 cfm).
