[Outlook 2013] connect niet naar Exchange server

Ik heb afgelopen weekend zowel op mijn laptop als op mijn PC Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit en Office 2013 (bedrijfslicentie) geïnstalleerd. Op de laptop eerst, en dat verliep probleemloos. Daarna op de PC, en ook dat ging prima, totdat ik ook daar mijn Exchange-account binnen Outlook 2013 ging aanmaken. Ik krijg continu de melding dat Outlook online moet zijn en dat de verbinding met de Exchange server niet beschikbaar is. Op de laptop werkt het prima, met dezelfde instellingen, in hetzelfde WiFi-netwerk en via dezelfde VPN-verbinding.

Ik heb me al uren rotgezocht op Google, maar kennelijk ben ik de enige met dit probleem. Iemand een idee wat ik kan proberen? Dankjewel!

Hmmmmm dat is vreemd. Ik heb mijn laptop nu naast mijn pc staan. Als ik op de laptop ping, kom ik er wel, maar als ik op de pc ping, kom ik er inderdaad niet!

De VPN-verbinding werkt wel en ik kan op de pc wel een remote desktop-verbinding starten met de exchange server en ook via Windows verkenner is de machine gewoon toegankelijk. Wat zou dit kunnen veroorzaken?

'k Heb beide lijstjes even naast elkaar gezet, maar ze zijn volledig identiek (m.u.v. IP- en hardware(adressen)). Dus daar kan het verschil 'm niet in zitten.

Kun je ook van beide PC's een route print doen?

Overigens: kan ik veilig aannemen dat het IP-adres van de Exchange server 10.10.10.10 is? (SBS, ofzo)

Euh, hoe maak je de verbinding tussen de Outlook client en de Exchange server?

Voor zover ik begrepen heb, heeft Microsoft de Exchange 2003 ondersteuning uit Outlook 2013 gehaald.
Dus je moet 'm niet als Exchange client (MAPI) configureren, maar als POP3 of IMAP4.

Waarschijnlijk staat-ie op je laptop al als POP3 of IMAP4 geconfigureerd. De foutmelding die je op je desktop krijgt, is typisch die van een MAPI client die de server niet kan vinden.

Dat is het wazige... ik heb 'm op de laptop (windows 8.1 - 64 en Office 2013) als Exchange account geïnstalleerd en dat werkt prima. Hoe kan dat dan?

Ik kan met POP3 wel mail ophalen vanaf de PC, maar dan kan ik niet meer bij mijn agenda, taken, etc. Andere optie zou zijn om office 2013 eraf te gooien en Office 2007 weer terug te zetten....

Laat ik het zo zeggen dat ik met Outlook 2013 niet kan connecten naar m'n Exchange 2003 server.
En met de native Windows 8 client ook niet trouwens, maar dat terzijde. En toen ik ging zoeken op de foutmelding, kwam ik een artikel van MS tegen waarin ze zeiden: ja we hebben zoveel coole nieuwe features in Outlook 2013 gebakken dat we de Exchange 2003 ondersteuning d'r uit hebben moeten gooien.

Anyway, je hebt nog een derde alternatief, en dat is IMAP4 aanzetten

En verder kan het ook nog steeds een netwerk issue zijn. Je klok zou meer dan 5 minuten van die van de server kunnen verschillen; krijg je geen Kerberos ticket en dus geen toegang tot de Exchange server

Okee.... heb net de mail-client in Windows 8.1 opgestart en daar mijn Exchange-account aangemaakt. En wat denk je? Verbindt keurig met de server en is as we speak alle mail aan het synchroniseren... ????
