Reallocated sector count melding na inbouw nieuw moederbord.

Ik heb een moederbord Asus Z87-E en i5-4670 geinstalleerd en daarop de oude schijven aangesloten. Het draaide een paar dagen probleemloos, in HD Sentinel was de SMART status van 2 Seagate schijven 100% en per vandaag (ik heb wel een Dynalink Firewire PCI kaart geinstalleerd) opeens 9 en 11% ? De ene geeft een Reallocated Sector Count melding en de andere geeft opeens "There are 32 weak sectors found on the disk surface. They may be remapped any time in the later use of the disk."


Hoe kan dit zo plots zijn ontstaan? Heeft de Firewire kaart ermee te maken?

Update: ik zie in mijn factuur dat dit exemplaren waren die ik bij de Mycom in april 2012 heb gekregen als vervanging van weer oudere WD Caviar schijven. Geldt voor die exemplaren ook de 2 jaar inruil? Of geldt dat vanaf de aankoopdatum van de Caviar schijven?

Waar dit aan ligt weet ik niet, maar je garantie gaat per aankoopdatum van het originele produkt, de caviar schijven dus.

Dit is het probleem. 51 keer corruptie veroorzaakt door de kabel maar dat is waarschijnlijk in het verleden. Het acute probleem is 32 actieve bad sectors (0x20 Current Pending Sector). Dat betekent dat er 32 plekken zijn op de schijf die niet gelezen kunnen worden.

Zou je de schijf helemaal leeg maken en daarna lang formatteren (zonder de 'quick format' checkbox te hebben aangevinkt) dan kun je je schijf weer gebruiken. Na deze procedure is de Current Pending Sector weer 0.
