Dat was dus de customer support van Anker. Dat van die stabiele snelheid is overigens niet helemaal waar. Er zijn drives die een variable snelheid hebben. Volgens mij was dat ooit een serie van Seagate. Vandaag weer een mail gekregen:
Mijn reactie:
Well, the thing is that I hear these clicking sounds when I use this drive as a internal drive (sata) but when I use the adapter I don't hear anymore of these clicking noises so I'm thinking there is no head parking when using this adapter which is not a good thing. Please give me more detailed information on this.
Hun reactie daarop:
Thank you for getting back to us.
Checked with our tech team, no clicking sounds is better than hearing clicking sounds. Sorry that we are not sure why the clicking sounds disappears when you switch to our adapter. The adapter supports spindown. Can you please check your power setting on your PC by the way bellow?
Right-click “My Computer”, select “Attributes”, then “Hardware”, followed by “Device Manager”. Double-click “Universal Serial Bus Controllers”, right-click “USB Root Hub”, click “Attributes”, then “Power Management”. Mark “Allow computer to close the device to save power”, click “Yes ”, and then restart the computer.
Please let us know if there is anything else we may do to help. Any time you need us, we are here.
De power settings in apparaatbeheer heb ik gecheckt en stonden allemaal op ingeschakeld. Ik snap er de ballen niet meer van.
