32x4 of 16x8 op 440BX

Ik wil denk ik wel wat geheugen kopen, 256MB, ofzo, kost toch niets..
Alleen wat moet ik nou hebben 32x4 of 16x8, waarschijnlijk gewoon 32x4, maar ik dacht ik vraag het toch maar ff, voor de zekerheid.
Ik heb dus een 440BX-mobo.

BX herkent alleen 16x8 (werd mij gezegd). Deze zijn verkrijgbaar tot 256MB. Geen idee of een 512MB 16x8 reepje bestaat, zulke dingen zouden dan 32 chippies moeten bevatten en das beetje lastig te fabriceren...

Ja, ik heb ook een BX mobo.

Maakt weinig uit, maar sowieso zijn vrijwel alle 256 Mb modules opgebouwd uit 16 chips. Bij 32 chipjes moet je gaan stapelen (= duur) of de module 2x zo hoog maken ( = ook duur)
