Intel garantie op tray processors

Ik heb een i7 3770 tweedehands gekocht. Hij is voor zover ik kan zien nog nooit gebruikt, en ik wil nagaan of ik garantie heb. Na lang zoeken een ´warranty checker´ gevonden, maar de FPO en ATPO codes worden niet gevonden.. Daarna gaan chatten met een medewerker, die zegt dat ze geen garantie leveren op tray units.

Weet iemand of en hoe ik garantie kan krijgen op deze processor? Kan ik de CPU ergens registeren oid?

tldr, chatlog met die dude van Intel.. Hij leek zo aardig

Wouter Bokslag it is correct. It is the last line on the heat spreader, below ´costa rica´, and behind it there is a circle with ´e4´ inside.. but I doubt this has anything to do with the FPO number

Deepak OEM's configure Intel products and they have different hardware and firmware environment. Intel sells processors, motherboards, and other products via Retail and Wholesale channels. Retail products are sold in clearly marked individual boxes and carry a warranty directly from Intel. Wholesale products are not sold in retail boxes and are typically pre-installed by a system manufacturer (ex. HP*, Dell*, Gateway*) or reseller. Intel does not provide direct warranty support for wholesale products.

Volgens mij is dit topic meer voor het idee van "stel dat ik het nodig heb"?
Want je hebt een werkende processor op het moment?

Daarnaast heb ik nog nooit een CPU stuk gehad, en nooit iets van garantie hoeven claimen. Zolang je die dingen met respect behandeld gaat het eigenlijk altijd goed. Dus een echt antwoord heb ik ook niet.

Van wat ik er van weet, is het inderdaad zo geregeld vanuit de fabrikanten. OEM processoren zijn voor OEM's. Intel kan dan ook die garantie plicht afwimpelen. Op de een of andere manier worden die dingen alsnog hier verkocht, maar je garantie loopt dan ook via de winkel: dan zul je weinig merken van wat Intel er mee doet.

Maar je vraag is dus of je nu wel of geen garantie hebt, en hoe je er aan komt. Wat heb je zelf al gevonden? Dit staat gewoon op de site van Intel namelijk, waar zou jij je product willen registreren?

De enige die je kan helpen is degene van wie je hem hebt gekocht, die winkelfactuur kun je meenemen. Algemeen consumentenrecht is ook hier van toepassing (wat je ook terug kan vinden op verschillende sites).

Ok, bedankt voor de info. Ik heb gezocht op de site, waar je kan registreren, maar dat lukt niet voor tray. Dit was al min of meer wat ik verwachtte, weet ik in elk geval waar ik aan toe ben!

Verder zit je op de verkeerde plek te kijken voor garantie. Volgens NL recht is je leverancier verantwoordelijk voor je garantie en verder niemand. Wat de leverancier allemaal achter de schermen regelt met fabrikant, importeur, distributeur of Sinterklaas is jouw probleem niet. Leverancier moet een deugdelijk product leveren die een redelijke tijd meegaat.
