De titel in dit artikel suggereert dat de Nederlandse Internet snelheid stagneert, dit klopt in mijn beeld niet omdat Akamai alleen de gemiddelde verbindings snelheid vanuit het Akamai platform meet, als de klant tegelijkertijd naar youtube/Netflix/etc... kijkt dan lijkt het voor Akamai dat de gemiddelde verbindings snelheid daalt maar dat hoeft niet voor de gebruikers in Nederland zo te zijn. Het Akamai rapport heeft het ook over average connection speed (section 3) ipv gemiddelde vaste internetsnelheid zoals in het tweakers artikel.
Akamai geeft in hun rapport ook aan dat de average peak connection een representatiever beeld van de internetsnelheid geeft en ook geven ze aan dat de average peak connection groeit ipv stagneert in de Nederlandse markt.
