nieuws: Via brengt laptopdesign onder Creative Commons uit
folks hi, apologies i only speak a minimal amount of dutch: "eine tee met melke 'su'blift" but apparently with a *very* good accent, and i can pronounce "scheveningen" fluently, but that's not enough to describe what i'm looking for, so please bear with me, in english.
i'm the creator of the EOMA-68 initiative and Open Hardware Standard, and i'm looking to get an Open Hardware Laptop made. if you saw the fuss over the Bunnie Studios Novena Laptop, you'll know what i'm on about.
i found the VIA OpenBook web site (which has been shut down) - and i know how hard it is to do good laptop design. so if anyone has the VIA CAD/CAM Creative-Commons-Licensed files could you *please get them to me, at my email address luke.leighton@gmail.com - i would be most grateful as they'll become the basis of a real open hardware laptop product with an upgradeable CPU Card.
many many thanks,
l.
