GPS Smartphone

Ik zoek een redelijk goedkope Smartphone, die ik los wil kopen. Ik wil er een android applicatie voor het zeilen op zetten die gps gebruikt. Het is voor zeilen op de Noordzee dus een goede gps ontvanger is het belangrijkst. Welke telefoon is dan de beste keuze ? Alvast bedankt, Sjoerd.

Ja, neem er een die zowel GPS als Glonass ondersteund, bijvoorbeeld de Sony Xperia Z, die kan ook tegen wat water, wat mij handig lijkt met zeilen.
Of goedkoper de Samsung Galaxy Xcover 2.

Wat moet je met GLONASS als je GPS hebt? Op open water zal GPS een prima ontvangst geven, dan heb je GLONASS echt niet nodig.

Extra satellieten van Glonass boven op GPS maken een snellere fix mogelijk, ook bij zware bewolking of regen is dat extra handig.

Ondersteunt die Android zeil app GLONASS, naast GPS?

Zou jammer zijn als die app niets doet met de GLONASS informatie.

Is het mogelijk om naast GPS & GLONASS ook al gebruik te maken van die Europese variant ?

Nope - want Galilio zou volgens 'planning' - ergens in 2014 pas operationeel zijn - aldus volgens hun 'planning'.
