ARCHOS Platinum modellen

Dit topic is bedoeld om ervaringen uit te wisselen met de Platinum modellen uit de Element serie van Archos.

ARCHOS introduces the Platinum range, a new line of tablets that feature a sleek aluminum design combined with the best high definition IPS displays, quad-core processors and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. There will be three tablets in the range including an 8-inch, 9.7-inch and 11.6-inch all of which deliver true vivid colors, sharper text and amazingly fast performance.

The ARCHOS 80 Platinum, an 8” tablet, features a 1024x768 resolution IPS screen and when compared to the Kindle Fire HD 8.9 it is almost twice as fast, has double the RAM and has a back camera for a fraction of the cost. The 80 Platinum will be available in February for $199.

The ARCHOS 97 Platinum HD, a 9.7” tablet, features a stunning 2048x1536 resolution IPS screen, which is comparable to the Retina display found in the iPad, but is 40% less expensive. The 97 Platinum HD will be available in February for $299.

ARCHOS 116 Platinum

The ARCHOS 116 Platinum, an 11.6” tablet, features a 1920x1080 resolution IPS screen, unlike anything currently on the market. The 116 Platinum will be available in April for $349.

Nog geen officiële specificaties beschikbaar.

Wat is nu het verschil tussen de titanium en de platium versie?

Verder heb ik nog geen informatie over de accu-duur kunnen vinden. Aangezien de site van Archos niet werkt is hier ook weinig van te achterhalen.

De titanium is dual core en de platinum quad core.
Over de accu duur, Conrad zegt in de specs:

helaas helaas, de introductiedatum van de tablet is doorgeschoven naar eind mei...

Deze tablet had/heb ik hoog op mn lijstje staan, omdat ik heel graag een een Android 9,7" tablet wil gebruiken. Ik heb momenteel een jaar oude Yarvik Exxa met een antieke Cortex A8 en dit is echt een drama gebleken.

Hoewel dit apparaat in februari werd aangekondigd én zou uitkomen, bleek na een e-mail richting de Benelux vertegenwoordiger van Archos dat het april zou worden, wat werd bevestigd door de beleveringsinformatie op de site van Conrad. Zojuist is de leverdatum opnieuw is verschoven van 16 april naar 23 mei 2013, dus tja..... (en op de Duitse site van Conrad is bovendien de prijs verhoogd).

Er zal kortom nog te veel voorraad Titanium tablets in de winkel liggen om nu al uit te komen met de Platinum reeks.

Heel jammer dit allemaal...

Even wat leven in dit inmiddels overleden topic trappen.

Wat ik vernomen heb links en rechts is dat inderdaad de accuduur bedroevend is.
Daarnaast is de wifi ook niet al te denderend.
Reviews die te vinden zijn gaan net niet te diep op deze zaken in.
Had zelf eerst wel interesse in de 8'' uitvoering.
Doch door bovenstaande berichtgevingen ben ik wel iets spichtiger geworden.

Daarnaast ( en dat is mijn mening ) vind ik het jammer dat men de Gps er uit hebben gelaten.
Ik had zelf een 80G9 en ondanks dat het een plastic kraaktabletje was vind ik dat hij het heel netjes deed.
Heb nu inmiddels een Samsung Tab2............leuk dingetje maar de 10'' is net wat te groot en de 7'' net weer te klein.
Dus hou ik ze wel in de gaten.
