dit is een conclusie van review van die kaart
By design the MSI R7850 PE is built to deliver a better gaming experience, while at the same time being quieter and more efficient than the reference Pitcairn Pro models. What really stands out about the MSI R7850 PE though is the new Twin Frozr IV thermal solution, which was 5% more efficient than the reference during load. In itself a 5% difference is not that impressive, but during our testing the dual propeller blade fans were mostly INAUDIBLE !!! during gaming, even during demanding games such as Battlefield 3 and Crysis 2. So, while the temperatures were similar the acoustics of this model are dramatically better when the fan speed is left at auto.
In addition to the Twin Frozr IV thermal solution the MSI R7850 PE also comes equipped with all high quality components that are part of the MSI Military Class III design. These components along with the Triple Over-Voltage feature pushed the overclocking potential of this model well beyond that of a traditional HD 7850. In our labs we were able to increase the GPU core clock to 1125MHz, which boosted the performance by an average of 12.5%. This pushed the performance to levels that times rivaled the HD 7950, making the $20 premium more palatable, as the performance increase far out weights the higher MSRP.
Overclocking did prove to be a double edged sword though, because as we increased the voltage the fan speed had to be increased to compensate for the additional current. This led to the fans making a high pitched noise that was distracting and not suitable for 24/7 use. We also would have liked to see more dongles added to the bundle to increase Eyefinity support, but this obviously is not the target audience MSI is trying to reach with this product. However, since it has a higher street price and most Pitcairn based graphics card have a HDMI to DVI dongle, more accessories would have been better.
Despite the fans making a high pitched noise when the RPM was too high (above 55%) the R7850 PE is still an outstanding graphics card that performs better than the reference models out-of-the-box and has the potential for some extreme overclocking allowing it to perform at levels well out of its price range. The R7850 PE is also uses a scaled down PCB, making it a good fit for gamers using a small form factor case, or HTPCs.
