[OpenBSD 5.2] Interne speaker te luid - Linux en overige clients

Ik heb een HP Compaq dc7600 SFF overgenomen van een tweaker. Ik heb er OpenBSD 5.2 opgezet. De PC beschikt (verrassing) over een interne speaker, die blijkbaar met de geluidskaart is verbonden. Bij de installatie leek de harde schijf een eng geluid te maken, dit was echter de speaker die vol open stond. Blijkbaar reageert het geluid met de info op het scherm, maar dit terzijde.

Na de installatie van OBSD kon ik in Fvwm met aumix het volume op nul zetten en mijn externe speakers op het gewenste volume.

Hier kan ik mee leven, maar bij elke systeemstart gaat de interne speaker weer op vol volume. Ik kom er niet achter waar dit probleem zit en wat ik eraan kan doen.

Hallo,

Met 'mixerctl' (uitvoeren zonder argumenten) kun je eens kijken welke instellingen je audio apparaat allemaal heeft. Je krijgt dan een aantal waarden te zien, let dan met name op de outputs waarden. Om te achterhalen welke je interne speaker is kun je bv. het volume verhogen/verlagen en dan nogmaals mixerctl draaien. Je zult dan zien dat 1 van die waarden is veranderd.

Deze waarde kun je vervolgens vastzetten in /etc/mixerctl.conf of geheel muten. (Zie ook faq13 van de link hierboven voor voorbeelden)

Dank, dat werkt uitstekend. Ik heb mixerctl twee keer gedraaid, diff gedaan en mixerctl.conf aangepast. Nu sist de speaker heel even en is dan stil:)
