Heb ook ff de site gelezen , ziet er gaaf uit
Over de releasedate heb ik dit uit de FAQ van de site gevist :
A: Majestic's debut is currently scheduled for the spring of 2001, but please note that release dates are always subject to change. If for any reason this information does change, we'll keep you updated here in this FAQ.
Het is dus al zomer, dus hij is blijkbaar uitgestelt, maar misschien is het niet meer zo ver weg...
edit :
Sehr kewl dit :
Q: What if I'm nervous about getting threatening phone calls and mysterious faxes from the game? Can I turn it off?
A: Yes. Adjustable realism settings allow users to customize the degree to which incoming Majestic communications are identified (in advance) as part of the game. When full realism is selected, emails, telephone calls, faxes and other game interactions will be delivered to the user without any obvious indication that they are related to the game. In this mode, Majestic can most effectively blur the lines between your real life and the game. Users can also choose to have Majestic coversheets on incoming faxes, Majestic identification at the beginning of incoming voice mail messages and otherwise tailor the experience for a less realistic, but more predictable experience. There is also the option to not have telephone calls and faxes sent to your "real life", but you can still check for and receive those transmissions online, while you're in the game.
Dit is alleen wat minder kewl

:
Q: Will Majestic be available outside of the U.S?
A: At launch, Majestic will be released in the United States & Canada. We have not announced our plans for other countries, but we are committed to bringing the Majestic experience to as many people as is technically and economically feasible.
Edit 2 :
Dit lijkt me echt megagaaf
Dit heb ik geripped van een van de fora :
I recently signed up for this fantastic sounding game and requested the "first contact" demo. The next day or so I get a phone call from a telemarketing company asking if I'd be interested in watching a new television show and to give my opinions after I'm done watching it. I've heard of this being done before but my first thoughts as they began asking questions about my viewing habits and such was "is this an EA rep probing me for information to be used against me later?" The scary thing is I suddenly found myself being more than usually coorperative with this telemarketer because I thought there was a chance it might show up in the game somehow. Now I'm not sure whether to generally ignore those calls or be a little helpful for the sake of a better game experience. Creepy, isn't it?

I've done the same thing. Last night, I received a spam email from some company that removes arsenic from tap water, and I was thinking, "Is this a clue? Should I go visit this website?" The website itself was very limited and sparse, and some of the content sounded kinda like Consiracy Theory. Based on these later messages, however, I'm pretty sure it's not part of the Contact Demo.
At the very least, though, this has made receiving spam a little more entertaining and mysterious...
