Uit de reacties op dit nieuwsbericht blijkt dat dit op het moment ook al het geval is met de gewone Wii, en dat het daar wel mogelijk is om het account weer opnieuw te laten koppelen, maar dat dit via de klantenservice gedaan moet worden. Misschien is dit een goede toevoeging aan het bericht, aangezien dat de boel nog al nuanceerd.
