Oh ja het was een antwoord op de vraag hoe je het beste een fan kan beschilderen.

Ik vond het wel geinig.
En ik dacht dat jullie wel wat vrolijkheid konden gebruiken naar de crash :)

1) Metallic paint makes an excellent lubricant. Try to get as much of it under the case and into the moving parts as possible.
2) Avoid crude broad-area uncontrollable mediums like spray paint. Much finer control over colour and detail can be achieved by using crayons instead.
3) Colours like gold, silver, and black may be interpreted as distasteful displays of wealth. Safer, less offensive colours include primary red, lime green, and yellow with purple polka dots.
4) If you wish to mask of areas from the paint, peanut butter makes an excellent masking putty. It can be spread on, and simply be wiped off once the paint is dry.
5) Beware of mistakes. If you use permanent paints, like acrylic or enamel, your mistakes will be on display forever. This can be avoided by using cheap children's water paints instead, which can be wiped off when you screw up.
6) If painting with a brush, a highly consistent finish can be achieved by ensuring the fan is turned on while you paint it.
7) If using metallic paints, because metal conducts you can dispense with the unsightly wires to the fan, and connect the power directly to the now-gleaming fan casing.
8) As with painting car body parts, a much finer finish can be achieved by giving the fan an acid bath before painting.
9) Undercoat liberally to ensure a hard-wearing paint-finish. If possible, submerge the fan in the can of undercoat to ensure a thorough coating. [Handy Tip: The fan wires can be used like the tag on a teabag - hung over the edge of can to allow easy retrieval of the fan from its primer bath].
10) As a final finishing touch, sticking a baseball card against the blades of the fan, like children putting cards in the spokes of their bikes, creates an awesome sound effect that not only gives you an aural readout of your current fanspeed, but broadcasts to all within earshot how 1337 you are.

I think that pretty much covers it. I hope that helps.
