Hi there,
Been playing the hardware-matching game a couple of hours now, hoping for one of you to set me straigth here!
Basically my computer broke down last night & I'm at my friends place now trying to quick get together an order list for parts. He'll build my PC & I'm on his account, so sorry for not speaking Dutch, if it's needed he'll be able to translate when he's back.
This is what I'm thinking of getting, it's pretty much based on what his usual go-to company has in stock mixed with Tweakers basic/intermediate-gaming best-buy systems.
The SSD is optional really, my mate tells me it adds pretty damn neat start-up speed (of programs & the operating system) to a PC but I don't see the added benefit of it really.
My budget is around 800 euro's. Oh and if you deem the SSD worthy, what would you pick/change to bring down the price so that including the SSD I'm still around 800 euro's?
Any pointers? Tips? etc
edit; TerrorForce is in love with Kingston, but your Tweakers BBG's have Corsairs. Optional to (but more expensive) are the: Corsair Vengeance 12 GB, PC3-12800, 1600 MHz, 9, Non-ECC, Kit Of 3 for 75 euro's.
edit2; What I want to do with the machine
- some basic gaming (Starcraft 2, Team Fortress, DOTA2, Anno 2070 etc), nothing fancy. But in the case that I get my hands on an awesome game for the PC like GTA-V next year, the PC has to be able to play that at a good/perfect setting!
- downloading & watching series/movies, listening to music etc. Again, the only fancy thing about it is that I'll hook it up to a plasma full hd (HDMI) and an LCD computer monitor (the big white connector).
- the usual; surfing the internet, making a youtube movie, text editing, reading my emails...
- I usually do a lot of different stuff and leave screens open, I know this is impacts how well the PC works but that's why I prefer a bit of hardware-overkill. Expect a videoplayer, musicplayer, a game, chrome with 6 tabs & a couple of maps and files to be open at all times.
Thanks in advance for your replies, I'll be keeping a close eye on this topic!
Kind regards, John
