Samsung T27A300 LED HDTV/Monitor

Hi,

I got some questions about this monitor...
I want to use it as TV on my student room but also to connect it to my laptop to get schoolwork done and play some games. Wow in particular.

Anyone could tell me this would be a good solution or not ? Some say 1920 x1080 is to low for 27inch screens but my common sence tells me you will hardly see the difference between a 24inch with same resolution.

My laptopt is an I5 with 6g ddr3 and 1gb GFX card so suppose he wont struggle a big screen either.
