iPad 3 or The New iPad

With the release of the new iPad, many people have been confused, why it's named The New iPad, but iPad 3.
Though it's released as The New iPad, but I found there are still lots of people like to use iPad 3 when they search on internet. For me, I think iPad 3 is better than The New iPad
