[Laptop] HP Pavilion dv5-1210ed bios corrupt.

Hoi allen,

Ik heb een HP Pavilion dv5-1210ed die ik gisteren nog gewoon gebruikt heb.
Vandaag wilde ik hem aanzetten en gaf hij een error code, namelijk 2 keer knipperen van de Capslock en Numlock toets. Voor de rest gaan alleen de fans en de ledjes aan.

De code opgezocht en het bleek om een corrupte bios te gaan.

LEDs blink 3 times Memory Module error not functional
LEDs blink 4 times Graphics Graphics controller not functional
LEDs blink 5 times System board General system board failure
LEDs blink 6 times BIOS BIOS authentication failure

Hiervan de oplossing gezocht en dat bleek dit te zijn:

Insyde BIOS Recovery
1) Obtained the correct BIOS file, HP seem to provide many different BIOS’s.For # the BIOS for CQ45-107AU is not the same as CQ45-107TX.

2) Renamed the file 30F7F04.FD to 30F7.BIN and placed it on a USB thumb drive.

3) Disconnected the AC adapter from the notebook.

4) Removed the battery from the notebook.

5) inserted the USB thumb drive into one of the USB ports on the notebook. Didn’t seem to matter which one.

6) Held down the ‘Windows’ Key and the ‘B’ key.

7) Connected the AC adapter.

8 ) Pressed the ‘Power’ button on the notebook.

9) When the LEDs came on, let go of power button and the two keys held down earlier. On the CQ45-107TX the touch pad LED came on as amber (disabled) instead of the normal white (enabled).

10) After about 10 seconds the notebook started reading the USB thumb drive. While searching for the file the notebook beeped once a second. The number of beeps varied, depending on how big the thumb drive was and the number of files on the thumb drive, from just one beep to many. If the file was not found, the notebook would reset itself and try again.
If the file was found then it took about 12 seconds for the notebook to load it. No beeping sounds heard during the loading time.

11) When loaded the notebook started flashing, indicated by beeps every 2 seconds. This took about 32 seconds. About 5 seconds after the beeping had stopped the notebook shutdown. BIOS worked normally thereafter.

Some notes:I would guess if you had a CQ45-115AU and your BIOS flash file was 30FBF21.FD then you would probably rename it to 30FB.BIN for use with the USB thumb drive. But I don’t know for sure and as can be seen some models use a slightly different or board model number.

Natuurlijk met de voor mij juiste Bios.
Waar het bij mij fout gaat is dat de USB drive niet wordt gelezen (punt 10)
Ik heb 8 verschillende sticks geprobeerd, maar hij leest er geen 1.
Ik heb ze als Fat32 geformateerd of Fat16, maar hij leest niks.

Voor de rest heb ik het geheugen eruit gehaald, de batterij van de bios eruit gehaald, maar ik krijg hem niet meer tot leven.

Iemand nog enig idee wat ik nu zou kunnen doen?

Nee geen beeld, externe monitor aangehangen, maar ook geen beeld.
Maar dat is bekend met dit probleem.

Daar wordt wel de stick geladen, bij mij dus niet helaas.

Hoe lang hou je de knoppen ingedrukt?

De juiste bios voor mijn hp en dan hernoemt naar de eerste 4 karakters en extensie .bin.
Knoppen kort en lang ingedrukt, geen verschil helaas.

Een klein laatste schopje!

Is dit nog te redden of is er gewoon iets op het moederbord kapot?

Graag antwoord op mijn vraag (bestandsnaam+extentie), ik vraag dit omdat een *.exe file zowiso nooit gaat werken, een verkeerde bestandsnaam ook niet.
Verder hoor je de knoppen in te drukken tot het lampje (als je dat hebt) op je usb-stick gaat knipperen.

Ik heb de sp46501.exe gedownload deze kun je extracten met winzip of gewoon dubbelklikken.
Van de uitgepakte bestanden heb ik 30F2F38.FD hernoemt naar 30F2.BIN en op de stick gezet.

Knoppen ingedrukt gehouden, maar na verloop van tijd begint de foutcode weer te knipperen en wordt er helaas niet van de USB stick gelezen.
