In Outline view, select the headings of the sections you want to make into sub documents and assign a Heading (from the Style box), say 'Heading 1' to them. Collapse the whole document so that you can only see the headings by clicking on the number 1 on the Outlining toolbar. Select each heading by clicking on the plus sign in front of it and click on the 'Create Subdocument' button on the toolbar. Separate documents will be created and named with the heading you selected. Check out 'Working with Master Documents' in the Help menu for more information.
