Hi
Please excuse me for writing in english, but I am Norwegian and can only understand parts of what is written here (google translate sucks).
I have been trying to let my pc replace my Motorola VIP1910 stb, in order to watch tv on w7 media center , using dvblogic plug-in. So far I have done the mac-adress change, and the dhcpcore.dll edit with the VendorClassID information and so on sucessfully on a w7 32bit machine (laptop). Everything works nicely, i.e. I do get assigned a multicast ip in the 10.x.x.x range and I am not dependent on my stb anymore.
But when I try to do the same thing on a 64bit w7 ultimate machine, I have not been successful. From the ipconfig /all command, I can see that the vendorclass Id is passed on correctly, so this is not the isssue.
I have also testet both with and without a copy of dhcpcore.dll in syswow64, but it does not seems to change anything. Sometimes on this 64 bit pc, I get an ip adress in the 10.x... range assigned, but then after a few minutes I am kicked out and returned to the "normal" internet ip-range. There is still some hidden issue eith the authentication procedure.
I would really like this to work, so that my iptv/htpc will not steal from my regular internett capasity/bandwidth.
Does anyone here have any experience to share regarding possible tricks to make this work specifically on the w7 64bit OS? Or is it hardware related perhaps?
Cheers from Norway.
