Grote problemen met Fedora dependencies na upgrade

Ik heb Fedora geupgrade via de 4GB DVD van Fedora 15 naar Fedora 16, dat ging op zich goed, maar ik kan nu op geen manier meer het OS updaten.

Een langere pastebin is te vinden op http://www.codepad.eu/view/raw/4973654. Ik heb de instructies proberen uit te voeren volgens http://fedoraunity.org/Members/fenris02/post_upgrade_cleanup.

Ik gebruikte Fedora 2 maanden en het beviel goed en had alles naar eigen wens aangepast. De upgrade heb ik ook volgens instructies aangepast en ik heb expres niet naar F16 geüpdate met Yum, omdat dat problemen zou kunnen veroorzaken. De enige RPM repositories die ik gebruik zijn Rpmfusion en Fedora, dus daar lijkt het ook niet aan te liggen.

Andere gebruikers lijken ook gewoon veel F15 pakketten nog te hebben en zowel x86 als x64 pakketten te hebben, dus dat lijkt op zich ook goed. Hoe zou ik hier uit kunnen komen?

Het lijkt erop alsof alle F16 pakketten erop staan, maar in de RPM database nu zowel de F15 als de F16 paketten staan.

Je zou eens kunnen proberen de RPM database te rebuilden, zoals hier uitgelegd.

Ook kun je met ldbedit de database rechtstreeks gaan bewerken, maar dat is niet echt aangeraden.

Op een nieuwe installatie van F16, staan zo'n 1000 F16- en 300 F15-pakketten, dus ik weet niet of dat een probleem is. Ik heb opnieuw de rpm database ook aangemaakt volgens de instructies.

Ik heb het verholpen door met yum remove alle fc15 rpm's uit die lijst te verwijderen, wel goed opletten natuurlijk, maar er kwamen voornamelijk fc15 dependencies mee en de meeste zagen er niet belangrijk uit. Gelukkig maar, was op zich redelijk blij overgestapt te zijn op Linux.

Ontbrekende bibliotheken kan je altijd checken met

ldd $path/$binary | grep -i not found

Als je dat loopt kan je zien wat er allemaal mankeert en dat fiksen (mocht het nodig zijn).
