Upgraden Fujitsu Siemens Scaleo P D1740 (uit 2005)

Goedemiddag,

Wij hebben een Fujitsu Siemens Scaleo P D1740 met een Intel Celeron D processor die inmiddels al lang niet meer up to date is. Vooral bij het gebruiken van Magix Film op DVD heeft de computer kuren (vastlopers, tergend traag).

Het zou logisch zijn om een nieuwe computer te kopen, maar we vinden het zonde om onze computer weg te gooien (ook gezien het milieu). Daarom willen we toch liever kijken of we hem kunnen upgraden.

Wat zouden we willen kunnen met de computer:

Skype
Videobewerking (nu nog SD, in de toekomst natuurlijk HD)
Office
Youtube
Af en toe Google Earth
Muziek opnemen en bewerken (eigen piano- en gitaarmuziek, puur hobby)

Het zou leuk zijn wanneer we de computer weer helemaal up-to-date kunnen maken (met een nieuw moederbord, een i5 of i7 sandy bridge processor, een SSD en Windows 7) maar misschien is dat wel helemaal niet nodig of zonde van het het geld en is het verstandiger om onze computer beter minder extreem te upgraden.

Kunnen jullie mij vertellen op welke manier we het beste onze computer kunnen upgraden? En wat daarvan de kosten zullen zijn? Ik heb zelf al via fora, alternate en azerty gezocht naar mogelijkheden, maar ik word er niet wijs uit.

Verwijderd

Je kunt deze PC niet meer up-to-date maken want dat zou betekenen dat je elk onderdeel op de monitor en misschien DVD-brander nou zou moeten vervangen :). Wil je echt alles zo goedkoop mogelijk houden dan kun je kijken of de behuizing en voeding nog kunt hergebruiken.

Gelet op je eisen van muziek en videobewerking is dit ongeveer waar je aan moet denken. Het geheugen moet worden vervangen door 2x4GB pricewatch: Kingston ValueRAM KVR1333D3N9K2/8G wat minimaal duurder is. Bij Salland.eu kom je dan uit op zo'n 450 a 470 euro en dat is dan inclusief assemblage. Assemblage kost meestal zo rond de 50 euro.

Misschien nog een betere audiokaart erin voor je muziek activiteiten maar daar weet ik weinig van dus dat heb ik niet ingevuld.

@Fiber en @ChicaneBT, Hartelijk bedankt allebei. Ik was er al een beetje bang voor, maar dan houden we onze computer maar zoals hij is (als extra internetcomputer) en kopen we een nieuw up to date systeem als hoofdcomputer. Nogmaals bedankt allebei!

Niet helemaal met bovenstaande tweakers eens. :)
Als ik het goed begrijp beschikt dit model wel over een pci-ex 16 slot ,dus een videokaart kopen is zeker een optie.(even nagekeken over welk moederbord dit model prrecies beschikt en de mogelijkheden daarvan)
Ook de cpu is makkelijk, (s 478) en voor nog geen 50 ,- up te graden naar een veel beter,sterker,sneller model,met hyperthreading.

Het geheugen is makkelijk te vervangen voor meer en sneller.
Want dit model kan ddr en ddr2 gebruiken.Nu zit er gewoon ddr in,en ddr2 is sneller.
Als ik het snel zo zie zit er 1,5 GB verdeeld in 2 banken.Dan kan dus makkelijk 2x1
GB sneller,beter,geheugen in.
Dan kan je makkelijk windows 7 gaan draaien en xp vervangen.
Tot slot de hdd en de externe hard disk zijn kunnen nog prima in hoeveelheid voor opslag e.d mee.
In totaal bijna 1,5 T.B is echt ruim voldoende en van deze tijd.De rest ,dvd speler,moederbord ziet er ook nog voldoende uit om al die dingen mee te doen,die gewenst zijn.

Het is misschien gedateerd,dat is wellicht ook wat de andere tweakers er van vindenbedoelden,maar (het is waar er is veel beter en sneller zoals de i5 die je aanhaald) heb je het ook echt nodig om die dingen te doen? Is de snelheid, waarmee het verwerkt word,en de kracht waarmee video getoont word ,na upgrade beter??? 100%.
Natuurlijk is het leuk het snelste en sterkste te hebben,en als je het geld heb,dan zou ik zeggen;Ga er voor.

Mocht je echt serieus muziek bewerken en verijkt geluid willen horen,dan kan een aparte audio card zeker winst geven over de ingebouwde apparatuur,maar voor normaal afspelen en opnemen is dat onboard ding echt nog voldoende.

Mijn mening is dan ook dat je voor 150,- al een heel eind op weg bent zeker klaar bent voor de komende tijd,waar bij je evt de windows 7 enterprise versie zou kunnen gebruiken ,welke 3maanden graties is te proberen.

Ik zie geen buitensporige eisen,maar gewoon allemaal normale dingen waar je zeker geen high end pc voor nodig heefthebt.
Uw huidige systeem is voornamelijk beperkt door dat er geen of relatief weinig gpu power in zit.Een aparte video kaart van -/+ 40 lost dat al op.
Ook is de cpu,behoorlijk zwak.Maar nog zeker upgrade baar door een beter model!!.

Dat is mijn evalutie .Succes in ieder geval :) .

Aan de andere kant denk ik er zijn tegenwoordig zoveel goedkope aanbiedingen.
Een laptop met i5 is onder 500 nieuw te vinden.Maar met een 2de hands cpu en videokaart zou je voor 50 euro klaar zijn.Dat verschil merk je meteen.
Meer beter geheugen.Een redelijk videokaart.Een goede cpu.
Het voordeel is dat highend cpu`s van s478 nu goedkoop zijn.
