Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable 64bit

Vandaag heb ik de nieuwe drivers van ATI geïnstalleerd, nl. de 11.7.
Eerst mijn systeem specs:
Widows Vista 64 bit
AMD 955 3.4 GHz
8 gig aan geheugen
tweemaal 5850 Xtreme
Mobo: Asrock 870 Extreme

Ik heb eerst de oude drivers weggehaald en daarna driver sweeper gedraaid in Windows Safe mode om resterende drivers weg te halen. Daarna heb ik 11.7 geïnstalleerd, maar ik kreeg meteen een foutmelding, nl. kan dit pakket niet installeren, nl deze Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable 64bit.

Uiteindelijk werd de driver wel geïnstalleerd, maar aan het einde van de installatie kreeg ik wel het bericht van een foutmelding, nl Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable 64bit.

Wat zou het probleem kunnen zijn?

Op andere forums heb ik deze kunnen vinden:
I had Catalyst 11.5 installed, then I had problems witha game so I did an express uninstall, uninstalling everything ATI. I then put Cat. 11.3, and since then I found the problem with my game was not driver related, so I wanted to put Cat. 11.5 back on. I did an express uninstall of 11.3. But this time around when I tried to install 11.5, Ms Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable fails to install, and I get the blow error. Which doesnt make sense, being that I installed the 11.5 Suite. I not a 100% sure what Ms Visual C++ 2010 does, or if I need it?

"The CCC is not supported by the driver version of your enabled graphics adapter. Please update your AMD graphics driver, or enable your AMD adapter using the Displays Manager"

And when I downloaded Ms Visual C++ 2010 (x64) from Ms, and tried to install it, I got this error...

"A newer version of Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable has been detected on the machine."

Apparent the Express Uninstall of 11.3 did not properly uninstall or clear out Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 when it did its uninstall.

Ik keek in mijn eigen configuratiescherm en ik kan dit vinden:
Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 X64 Redistributable - 10.0.40219

Voor deze pakket staat er een I van Microsoft Inotes denk ik, maar dit is een applicatie die ik niet eens gebruikt.
Ik ga advies van hierboven proberen.

Die exe is nodig om .net based programmas te kunnen draaien. Dit is dus voor de ccc van AMD te draaien. Wel raar dat hij reclameert als er een nieuwere versie opstaat? Lijkt me ofwel een bug in de microsoft installation tool, ofwel is 1 van die meegeleverde distributed package niet een officiele versie.

Tot zover ik weet worden alle bestanden geïnstalleerd.

Dit gevonden op een andere forum:
It's been an issue with the last number of releases of Catalyst.

AMD refuses to fix the fact that the installer doesn't check for the existence of W7sp1, which includes a newer version of the VC++ redistributables. Thus the installation of the included VC++ redistributables fail but the Catalyst install should work just fine anyway.

It's annoying but not a problem.

Maar ik draai geen windows 7. Dus dat vind ik wel vreemd.
