A simple –but good looking- application that can inventorize specific file types on a file server, and display file information in a hierarchical (collapsable?) view
2. For each file of a selected file type (e.g. MS Access files), the typical meta information, like file size, creation & last modification dates, etc (comparable to what you see in Windows Explorer)
3. On a folder level: aggregate information (number of files, ...)
4. And then the more difficult stuff: for chosen file types (Access, Excel, Word, ...) some information extracted from the objects IN the file. Some examples for an Access file:
a. Number of tables, queries, modules, etc
b. Specific object info, like properties of query’s, keywords in code etc
5. Ideally, this should be quite generic, so we can add meta or other fields without writing code
6. Export and/or display of resulting data preferably in some Office format (Excel, Access?)
