[Win7] Monitor wordt ontkoppeld bij uitzetten.

Goedendag!

Sinds ik een nieuwe monitor heb en ik zet deze uit .. en dan weer aan, staan mijn vensters die open stonden op een andere plek.
Nou heb ik wel een idee waarom dit is maar ik heb geen idee hoe ik er iets aan kan doen behalve mijn monitor niet uit zetten.

Wat ik denk dat gebeurd is het volgende:
Windows denkt dat als ik de monitor fysiek uitschakel, dus met de aan en uit knop, dat deze dan niet meer verbonden is en dan om wat voor reden dan ook een andere resolutie instelt zonder dat er een andere monitor is aangesloten.
Als ik mijn scherm uitzet, dan hoor ik ook het geluidje dat er een apparaat ontkoppeld wordt.
De vraag is dan eigenlijk, hoe zorg ik dat windows mijn monitor niet ziet als iets dat ontkoppeld wordt als ik deze uitzet.

Is het antwoord dan om simpelweg een andere interface te gebruiken?

Ik gebruik de displayport aansluiting op mijn HD5970 voor de monitor waar het om gaat (Dell U2711)


en de reden dat ik deze uitzet is omdat ik soms mijn tv gebruik om films/series te kijken via mijn computer, dan zet ik liever mijn scherm uit omdat windows niet 1 monitor op standby kan zetten en de ander kan laten functioneren.

This has been a huge problem for me in windows 7 as well. I have a television that is used as a monitor only sometimes, and every time someone turns it on, windows stops everything and detects it as a monitor and enables it. Windows then start to open on the new screen, and of course I can't see them because it is being used by someone else as a TV, not a monitor.
The response above from the microsoft representative is way off the mark. Why can't they understand this problem? It's not bad drivers, that is for sure. Turning off PNP, even if it works, will prevent windows from detecting other hardware changes that should be acknowledged. This is a valid bug of windows 7 that should be acknowledged and addressed. Just because a monitor is turned off, does not mean you want that desktop configuration to change. This should be an OPTION in the screen resolution settings to allow a particular configuration to PERSIST, until you specifically change it.
I have been looking at third party options like ultramon to see if they can control things better than the windows 7 OS does. Ultramon has an option to ignore enabled monitors, and you can setup multiple hardware configurations. This may be the only answer until MS figures out that they really have screwed up in this case.
Why can't someone at MS figure this one out? There must be millions of users who are being annoyed by this trait of windows 7.]

Ik heb precies hetzelfde probleem met HD5770 en U2410. Mijn oplossing was om i.p.v. DP te gebruiken het maar op HDMI te doen, dat werkt. Tot ik een 3e monitor wil..

De grap is dat het juist als autodetect feature is geintroduceerd om het grootste frustratiepunt af te vangen wat je maar kan verzinnen - windows van applicaties die buiten je scherm staan

Jeetje, dat is sullig, aangezien je met win+shift+links/rechts het naar een andere monitor kan verplaatsen... Is er een sane methode om die 'feature' uit te zetten? Het moge duidelijk zijn dat we hier niet zo van gediend zijn.
