Hi all,
The pro-evolutionary, atheist crew have done a pretty good job of shredding Intelligent Design. But cutting-edge science (complexity, chaos, emergence) seems to indicate that
the Universe may be self-organizing, that *perhaps* intelligence built in the initial conditions and the rules of manipulation. With some simple algorithms, recursive formulas, you get order of an ever-increasing elegance & sophistication.
The Mandelbrot set, being such an exemplar has been referred to as the "thumbprint of God."
How does this affect the Designed Universe argument ("designed" loosely defined, more like a Jackson Pollock than a Maserati) ?
Maybe that's just the way the universe is- without any initiating intelligence? Or just a few universes in the many-universes view end up with this novel feature? Some kind of Wheeler bootstrap universe? Or was Scott Adams right and God committed suicide as the ultimate challenge and is now reassembling itself?
