De Asus P8P67 Deluxe heeft een Realtek ALC889 en de Pro versie een ALC892
Ik game over SPDIF dus ik zou graag DD live gebruiken voor 5.1 over toslink
Het voordeel van de 892 is dat hij ook DD true HD or DTS HD kan streamen.
Maar blijkbaar in deluxe versie hebben ze toch voor de 889 gekozen voor DD live mogelijkheden?

Ik heb al een Xonar DX gekocht voor 5.1 gamen op SPDIF maar die plopt en tikt met film kijken DTS/DD passthrough... irritant! en het PCI-e x1 slot zit wel erg dicht op de videokaart bij de p8p67, houd de boel graag wat open voor koeling.

It features ten DAC channels with support for 16/20/24-bit PCM 7.1 sound playback, plus 2 channels of independent stereo sound output through the front panel stereo. It features DAC 108dBa signal-to-noise ratio and supports 44.1k/48k/88.2k/96k/176.4k/192kHz sample rate. While integrated audio often cannot compete with a dedicated sound card, the audio chip included with the board is one of the better ones. According to the specification, the board will support DTS Surround Sensation UltraPC.
Bit lost... je zou verwachten dat de 889 de betere is, want anders zat ie niet op deluxe versie...The Realtek ALC892 supports lossless content protection. It features DAC 108dBa signal-to-noise ratio and supports 44.1k/48k/96k/192kHz sample rate. It has slightly lower noise-to-signal ratio and is missing the support for 88.2kHz and 176.4kHz sampling rate compared to the ALC882. It does support DTS Surround Sensation UltraPC, like the Deluxe board.
