Stay with KPN or switch to other?

Hey guys,

I'm currently a customer of KPN with an indefinite time contract for Internet Extra (to 20 MBps maximum). I'm quite satisfied, but if there is possibility I would like to switch to some other provider. I'm living in Zuid-Holland, near Rotterdam and I've heard about Fiber Internet from Tele2. I saw the price and it looks nice, I'm now paying 35 € and it's quite much I would say.

Recommend me something.

I would go for fibre 60 mb from tele2 but there is no info if it's available, only ordering.

You should contact tele2 itself at www.tele2.nl and ask for fibre60 is its avaible.

If your living near Rotterdam there should be another cable provider like UPC or Ziggo that should offer something equelevant. Did you check them both ISP's?

I don't have Tele2 fibre but the standard 20Mb product of Tele2, which i'm cancelling because of higher latencys. I'm switching towards another ISP, so you should read upon user experiences with Fibre60 instead of ordering blindly

I don't care about pings that much, KPN seems quite nice, but I need higher download at that price if possible. You guys live in the Netherlands, I'm a foreigner, I know from autopsy that everything I do here on my own is used by the Dutchmen :-) (I mean Dutch companies )

If you have a cable connection (coax) in your house you can order internet from Ziggo. (Or UPC but I thought your area was Ziggo).

To be honest. I live 142 m from the centrale and I have 20 MBps option from KPN, I've got vast contract with them so I would like to resign ASAP, I thought I would get really 20 mbps - right now only 10 mbps and for quite high price.

Waarom is dit alles in Engels? (Gezien het Engels van de TS is hij geen native speaker)

Er zijn genoeg vergelijkings websites om te kijken wat de beste/goedkoopste opties voor je zijn. Dan kan je zelf prima een keuze maken. Gezien je niet de maximale snelheid via ADSL krijgt (kan aan slechte aanleg in huis/modem liggen, gezien de korte afstand tot de centrale) is misschien kabel een interessant alternatief?

Wat betekend kabel? UPC of Ziggo? ADSL is anders?

UPC of Ziggo (doe postcodecheck welke aanbieder) levert diensten via coax oftewel TV kabel.
Kabelinternet is dus via de coax. Ik neem aan dat je kabeltv hebt ?

Volgens mij wel hoor, hij doet dit ook in andere topics. Hij gebruikt gewoon woorden uit zijn contract. Ik zie geen grove fouten.

UPC is niet bereikbaar in Waddinxveen. Ik niet gebruik kabeltv, allein internet van kpn.
Nu denkt ik over ziggo, goede bandwidth (ziggo website), beter dan kpn.

Afgezien van het feit dat Nederlands de voertaal is op GoT, is het ook nog eens een topic zonder eigen inzet, en een 'wat moet ik nemen?' topic. Doe zelf onderzoek, vergelijk op basis van je criteria.
