RAID5 boot issue:
=================
Originally 3 x WD10EARS on channels 1-3 (channel 4 not used), but they really suck in a RAID5 array (slower than slow).
So I replaced disk in channel 1 for a WD2001FASS. Works and boots correctly into Windows. Rebuilt the array (2 RAID 5 volumes, each 1TB in size).
Then I replaced disk in channel 2 for a WD2001FASS. Works and boots correctly into Windows. Same strategy: let the array rebuild. System already getting faster :-)

Then I planned to also replace the last WD20EARS for a WD2001FASS on channel 3. Replacement disk is seen in RR BIOS. I initialize the new disk, works ok. No RAID set changes made.
Now trying to boot Windows.
The progress bar displayed when searching for the disks is shown and completes as usual with a full bar (white line) at the bottom of the screen. Windows will not boot and sticks with the white line at the bottom of the screen.
When switching back on channel 3 to the WD10EARS everything works as expected again. So I did a test. I disconnected channel 3 (WD10EARS) and connected channel 2 (WD2001FASS) to channel 3. Same problem. Reverting everything back to original and Windows boots again. Also channel 4 does not work.
It looks to me that on channels 3 and 4 2TB drives (at least not the WD2001FASS) are not working correctly.

System info:
============
BIOS/Firmware Version: 2.5
Driver version: 2.3.9.611
WebGUI version: 3.14.5
Operating System: Windows 2003 Ent (32 bit), last SP
Motherboard Model: Gigabyte 965G-DS3
System BIOS version: F9
System memory size: 4Gb
HDD Model: 3 x WD2001FASS
currently 2 x WD2001FASS and 1 x WD10EARS
HDD Firmware version: WD2001FASS: 01.00101
WD10EARS: 80.00A80
RAID Configuration: RAID5 (bootable)
Other configuration information:
System contains 3 more standard SATA disks of various sizes, no RAID, standard access. Gigabyte specific SATA/RAID ports are switched off and not used.

Does anybody have a solution?
Thanks!
Arjen
