Notepad++ 5.7 WEL op SourceForge

De meukpost voor Notepad++ 5.7 beweerd dat NPP niet meer bij SF wordt gehost:

Versie 5.7 wordt niet meer bij SourceForge gehost; de ontwikkelaars achter Notepad++ waren het er niet mee eens dat deze website voor opensource-software de door de Amerikaanse overheid opgelegde regels opvolgt.

Dit is niet waar. Misschien is de tekst veranderd nadat de Tweakers post is geschreven, maar dit staat er nu:

After complying with [the Export Administration Regulations], SourceForge provided an option "Export Control: non-encryption algorithms included". [...] It's the only FOSS host who offers such walk around as far as I know. We appreciate all their efforts and we will keep our binary releases on SourceForge.

So here it is the version 5.7, which (and the future versions) is (will be) released on both sourceforge.net and tuxfamily.org (France) - that ensures the access of Notepad++ resource is out of US government control and guarantees the freedom of access of Notepad++ resource for everyone.
