Gebruik MacOS 10.6.3 icm iMac 20" early 2009, Audio interface aangesloten via FireWire 800-400 kabel.
Gebruik van FireWire audio interface Behringer FCA202 faalt, omdat Apple een nieuwe FireWire audio driver heeft geïntroduceerd in 10.4.10, welke niet compatibel is met o.a. deze interface.
Onderstaande sites adviseren mij om 'FireWire SDK 24 for Mac OS X' te downloaden en vervolgens versie 2.0.1 van de AppleFWAudio driver te installeren.

De enige FireWire SDK die op de development site van Apple beschikbaar is, is versie 26. ('FireWire SDK 26 for Mac OS X') Versie 24 is onvindbaar en versie 25 is niet meer te downloaden.
Na installatie van de FireWire SDK 26, blijft mijn probleem bestaan. Versie 2.4.0 van de AppleFWAudio driver is geïnstalleerd ipv versie 2.0.1
Nu staat er in de release notes van 'FireWire SDK 26 for Mac OS X' het volgende;
For some devices:
The are a small number of devices that do not work well with the new streaming engine. We have included an exception list in the info.plist of the AppleFWAudio kext to revert the devices in the exception list to the old streaming engine. This is a temporary work around until we resolve the issues with the silicon vendors on what is preventing there devices from working correctly with the new streaming engine. If you find your device is not working with this version of the driver, you can add your device's vendorID and modelID to the info.Plist of the AppleFWAudio.kext and restart your computer. Make sure you 'Touch' the directory so that the kexts will be re-scaned and re-added to the kext cache during the next boot.
