The 'Old' World of Darkness is dead in our eyes".
Will from WW has strongly implied they are not trying to make a mirror image of the PnP version to online or vise versa as they feel doing such won't work on two different mediums.
"A merger between Crowd Control Productions and White Wolf, Inc. was announced at the annual Eve Online fanfest in Reykjavík, Iceland, in November 2006. As part of the deal, it was announced that White Wolf would be adapting the Eve Online intellectual property into a RPG, and CCP explicitly stated "There will be a World of Darkness Online", referring to a MMORPG version of the game. According to news at the time, work had already begun on the WoD MMORPG and full time production was to commence within the year and launch in 4–5 years.
As of January 2008, full production of the WoD MMORPG was scheduled start March 2009 after the Eve Online expansion was finished according to CCP. Official confirmation that the game is currently in development surfaced in Aug 2009 on the official CCP web site.
In a CCP public .pdf document that describes its future goals made its way to the web dated July 2008. On page 24 stated the following "CCP is currently working on new projects, the largest of which is World of Darkness, a MMOG that is scheduled to launch 2010."

Dated Feb 2007 from Warcry.com;
The Icelandic game developer CCP will be developing a new massively multiplayer online computer game called World of Darkness. The game will be developed along with White Wolf, the board game company CCP merged with last year.
The setting of the game will be World of Darkness, a world inhabited by vampires and werewolves. White Wolf created said world and has written stories and books that take place there.
Halldór Fannar Guðjónsson, one of CCP's programmers, couldn't give any more details on the game, but said its development will begin in the next few months.
CCP owns an operates the Icelandic massively multiplayer online game EVE Online which currently has over 180.000 subscribers.
It's development will take at least four years, and it will be jointly created in Reykjavík and Atlanta, where While Wolf's HQ is.
Interview dated: February 21st, 2008 bron http://www.wodonlinenews.net/
The mastermind behind progressive and forbidding Icelandic MMO Eve Online, Reynir Hardarson, has said that the company’s second game, World of Darkness, will follow in the space-based title’s steps of having a ‘real-world’ financial model and will be primarily community-based.
“The key is human interaction,” Hardarsson said of his MMOs, talking to videogaming247. “World Of Darkness shares that vision.”
Like Eve, which has realistic resource and economic models, World Of Darkness would about “being as real as it can be,” he said.
Hardarson is now building the second CCP studio in Atlanta, after the merger of the company with World Of Darkness owners, White Wolf. The contemporary vampire fiction will now be the subject of CCP’s second title. When asked whether the World Of Darkness MMO would follow in Eve’s footsteps, or take the rather more popular World Of Warcraft route, Hardarson well as the technology, that had made the Icelandic MMO so effective.
CCP will release no further details of the game at this time, nor a release date. All Hardarsson would say was that the new game would as much of a leap in ambition for the company as releasing the MMO from scratch was when they started.
Hardarson has previously said that he believes MMOs should be continuously evolved by their developers over decades, rather than years. When asked whether Eve Online could still achieve new things he said, “Absolutely, we will just keep building on top of it.
“MMOs do not have to age. The nature of a game like Eve is that there is no need for sequels – why shouldn’t it run for fifty years?”

wellicht het doek word gelift over The World of Darkness MMO.
Shane DeFreest, World of Darkness community developer voor CCP en White Wolf:
"The big news that I can't really give to many details on is that we've got something really big we want to show our fans first.
"Friday at sundown is where we give everyone the first look at the future of the World of Darkness. If you have been a fan of our games for two months or two decades you won't want to miss what we have to say."
Het is hiermee niet zeker dat er gesproken word over de verwachte MMORPG van de World of Darkness, wellicht betreft het de Pen and Paper World of Darkness, maar hoop doet leven...
Vampiers en Weerwolven.... Wat is de World Of Darkness?
"The world is not what you think. Beneath skyscrapers' leering gargoyles, factories belching smoke and streets packed with the human throng lurk things we are not meant to see. Creatures dwell in the shadows and hidden places. They watch you, stalk you and prey upon your body and soul. The life you lead is a lie. Your darkest fears aren't make-believe.
They're real."
the World of Darkness is a place very much like our world, sharing the same history, culture and geography. Superficially, most people in this fictional world live the same lives we do. They eat the same food, wear the same clothes, and waste time watching the same stupid TV shows. And yet, in the World of Darkness, shadows are deeper, nights are darker, fog is thicker. If, in our world, a neighborhood has a rundown house that gives people the creeps, in the World of Darkness, that house emits strange sighs on certain nights of the year, and seems to have a human face when seen from the corner of one’s eye. Or so some neighbors say. In our world, there are urban legends.
Groet, TheMadHotMonkey
