VHS (NTSC) --> Mac via Firewire (Tussenkomst van Sony HC42E)

Ik heb dus een Sony DCR-HC42E camcorder die ik regelmatig gebruik als "capturing device" om analoge signalen via de camcorder naar FireWire te streamen. Kan zonder tape-je, is volgens de specificaties van de fabrikant, en ik doe dit regelmatig met VHS cassettes (PAL)

Nu heb ik een aantal NTSC VHS cassettes die ik dus naar mijn mac wil krijgen.

Van een vriendin een JVC HR-J580 Videorecorder kunnen lenen met op de voorzijde: "NTSC Playback on PAL TV".

Kortom volgens deze sticker wordt het NTSC signaal intern omgezet naar PAL output. Wanneer de VCR op pause staat (blauw demoscherm) komt het allemaal goed door, echter bij het starten van de NTSC VHS krijg ik direct 1 seconde storing op mijn Sny camera en valt dan in "geen signaal".
Op televisie werkt alles wel gewoon goed. De HC42E is PAL.

VCR is in menu in te stellen voor "NTSC/PAL" of "SECAM" niet NTSC of PAL los.

Kan ik dit omzeilen of is "NTSC Playback on PAL TV" term meer bedoeld als: "Als je PAL televisie NTSC ondersteund" dan zullen NTSC VHS cassettes ook afgespeeld worden.

Nope, waarom deze vraag? De JVC is namelijk mijn output device.

Lijkt er verder op dat de JVC wel PAL uitdeelt, echter 60Hz:

If a television is not multi-standard and a NTSC DVD is played at a PAL television there also exists the possibility of the DVD player showing NTSC as PAL-60. This standard is also called "pseudo PAL" or "NTSC playback on PAL TV". PAL-60 uses the color coding/color subcarrier of PAL but the number of scan lines (525) as well as the refresh rate of NTSC. However, the refresh rate is not 60 Hz as one could assume due to the notion, but 59.94 Hz. We must pay attention that not all DVD players/PAL televisions can transmit/display PAL-60.

Ik heb een VCR met een vergelijkbare feature, NTSC Play-Back. Alleen moet ik in de instellingen aangeven wat voor output ik wil hebben. Wellicht kan dat bij die JVC ook ?
