Weird KT7A-Raid Prob

Hi there,

I have a weird problem with a KT7A-Raid system I build.

I used an Aopen HQ45 case (250 Watt)
2 extra coolers installed 90mm Papst fans

Duron800@1000 (7.5*133) with FOP38 (not connected to mobo)

2x 3com 3C905-TX Networkcards
PCI Videocard (S3 Virge DX)

I have following disk configuration:

IDE1: master: HP 8100i cdr
IDE2: empty
IDE3: master: Quantum Fireball
IDE4: empty

With this setup everythings work great!

Yesterday I added 2 harddisks on IDE4
IDE4: master: IBM 30gb , slave: Maxtor 30gb

The system is running Windows 2k server, and is rockstable..

now for the "weird" stuff

every 3~5minutes or so, the PC-Speaker produces a small short BEEP. I have no clue why It does that, and I can't find any errors produced by Windows (since everything is working fine)

Does anybody know what this means?

DU-meter is niet geinstalleerd..

heel vreemd aangezien alles daarvoor perfect werkte

zodra 2 HD's derbij gekomen zijn (komen uit werkende PC's) is da beginnen piepen..

Well, imho it could be the fact that the fop-38 is not connected to the motherboard. The WW-bios of the KT7A checks if there is a fan connected and if the fan rpm is less than 2000, it should shut down the computer.

But the strange thing is that you can boot and run the computer. Maybe you are lucky in that...
