D-Link DIR-655 "crasht" als er alleen 802.11n verbinding is

Sinds kort heb ik een Acer 1810Tz met 802.11n aan boord. Daarvoor had ik een alleen een Asus notebook met 802.11b.

Nu heb ik het volgende probleem. Als ik alleen mijn Acer gebruik om te internetten, dan is de verbinding heel instabiel en bovendien traag. Als ik ga downloaden met uTorrent dan zijn de snelheden soms behoorlijk, maar lopen heel vaak terug tot 0 en dan valt ook mijn internet even weg. Als ik iets wil overzetten in mijn interne netwerk (van Acer naar mijn popcorn) en ik doe dat via FTP, dan zie ik dat ie geen stabiele verbinding heeft. Hij haprt om de seconde en soms loopt ie heel snel op naar 6MB/sec, om vervolgens weer naar 0 te knallen.

Als ik vervolgens mijn Asus notebook erbij aanzet, zijn al deze problemen weg. Mijn internetsnelheid is ineens goed en gewoon stabiel. Bij overzetten via FTP is snelheid ook goed (6MB haal ik dan niet, maar het is wel stabiel op iets van 3-4MB/sec).

Ik dacht eerst dat het iets te maken had met het hoge aantal verbindingen dat Win7 tot stand brengt (had ik al topic over geopend), maar toen wist ik niet dat alles wel werkt als ik beide notebooks aanzet.

Ik vermoed nu dus dat het aan mijn router ligt, een D-Link DIR-655. Maar wat zou ik er aan kunnen doen?

Volgens mij zijn dat foutjes die te verwijten zijn aan de firmware versie. Ik draai momenteel met een betaversie van de 1.31EU firmware en dat bevalt veel beter. Mocht je dat willen proberen, let op: want je kan niet downgraden naar versie 1.2X!

Ik verwacht dat je Asus laptop ervoor zorgt dat de verbinding vast op 54 Mbps komt te staan, waarbij de verbinding met de Acer ook stabiel wordt op die snelheid.

Controleer eens in je taskmanager op welke snelheid je WiFi draait met en zonder Asus.

Goed, ben nu met Filezilla bezig om iets over te zetten en heb alleen mijn Acer aanstaan.

De verbinding is u zwaar instabiel en de snelheid gaat de hele tijd binnen 2 sec heen en weer van geen verbinding naar 1.2mb/sec (bij filezilla). Downloadsnelheid bij uTorrent is nu ook omlaag geknald van 500kb/sec naar ongeveer 8kb/sec en veel verbindingen gaan zelfs naar een snelheid van 0.

Kan iemand aan de hand hiervan de vinger op de zere plek leggen?

Ander notebook nu ook aangezet. Verbinding in Filezilla is nog steeds instabiel, maar uTorrent draait wel weer gewoon goed. FF kijken wat een reset van alle systemen nu doet.

Hmm, snap er nu even niets van, omdat ik Filezilla ineens ook niet meer stabiel krijg in de overdracht. De verbindingen blijven maar geweigerd worden. Heb mijn Popcorn ook al gereset, omdat die misschien problemen had met de verbindingen, maar dat helpt ook niet.

Nu ook geprobeerd, om beide notebooks, mijn pocorn, de route en modem te resetten (allemaal gelijktijdig). Maar de verbinding in Filezilla blijft klapperen. Dat was eerst dus niet, snap het nu dus helemaal niet meer

Ga in ieder geval eerst eens testen zonder uTorrent, een beetje peer-to-peer programma krijgt een router echt wel goed omver.

Verder kan je misschien een keer testen waarbij je router alleen 802.11n door laat...is de 655 ook voorzien van twee radio's ?

Leuke logging trouwens (hoe goed bedoeld ook), helaas geeft dit niets weer over de verbinding.

Tot slot, je zou eens een scan van mobiele netwerken in je omgeving kunnen doen (en deze hier posten), misschien heb je last van een ander netwerk in jouw omgeving ?

Ik wil de boel juist werkend hebben met uTorrent

Ik test overigens ook de hele tijd met in en uitschakelen van uTorrent om te kijken waar het probleem nu zit. Maar het werkte vorige week dus stabiel met uTorrent, met FileZilla en op goede snelheden. Wat ik daar toen voor moest doen, was het aanzetten van mijn andere notebook met alleen 802.11b aan boord.

Maar ook zonder uTorrent krijg ik op dit moment de FTP verbinding niet stabiel. Hij staat nu geforceerd op 802.11n en auto-scanning voor het kanaal.

De logging heb ik op verzoek geplaatst. Edgradz dacht er wel iets in te kunnen zien.

Het wemelt hier van de draadloze netwerken, ongeveer 40 stuks kan ik vinden. Maar wat wil je zien in een lijst van 40 netwerken? Hoe kan ik trouwens de lijst plaatsen? Windows geeft ze wel aan, maar ik kan geen selectie van de namen maken ofzo.

Overigens werkt het ook niet stabiel als ik (uTorrent staat uit) bedraad ben aangesloten op de router. Heb nu ook firmware 1.31 erop staan (vreemd genoeg is mijn wachtwoord nu ook ineens anders, kan dus niet meer inloggen als admin. Zo eens even harde reset doen dan).

Dat je de boel werkend wilt hebben met Utorrent is begrijpelijk, maar om een probleem op te sporen moet je deze dus even uitzetten. En ook gelijk je aantal BT connecties beperklen, want iedere standaard router gaat uiteindelijk onderuit als je 300+ connecties toestaat.

De meeste meldingen in je log worden veroorzaakt door je BT client. Behalve de connecties die je toestaat proberen er vele meer nog te connecten, maar deze worden afgwezen omdat je BT client aangeeft de max limiet al bereikt te hebben.

Daarnaast is in je log te zien dat er veel 'vuile' verbindingen doorheen komen en afgestopt worden door de router. Da's goed, want dat behoort de router ook te doen.

Opdracht: iInstalleer programma INssider (http://www.google.nl/url?...T1HEMaDqoAUvenqjpBz0D-ULA) en kijk op welk kanaal de minste of de minste sterke zenders zitten van de omliggende draadloze zenders. Kies vervolgens handmatig in de router setup het kanaal wat ofwel de minste concurrentie heeft of waar jouw zender duidelijk de sterkste is. En als je geen wireless B nodig hebt, schakel deze dan uit (kies G &N only).

Toch even een kick. Dat de FTP het laatst niet deed, terwijl wel beide notebooks aanstonden, bleek gewoon geheel aan mij te liggen. De popcorn bleek vol te staan

Maar het is ondanks de nieuwste firmware (@hierboven: inloggen met blanco werkt ook niet, dat heb ik natuurlijk geprobeerd, net als alle standaardwachtwoorden als admin, admin1234, 1234 etc.) nog steeds zo als voorheen: als ik beide notebooks aan heb is alles gewoon superstabiel en snel (ook met uTorrent, dus het is niet zo dat uTorrent de boel omver trekt). Zet ik mijn Asus met allleen een B-verbinding uit, dan begint de ellende. Nu weet ik de oplossing: gewoon 2 pc's aanzetten, maar dat vind ik een beetje dwarse oplossing.

Zou je in de taskmanager (Start, Uitvoeren taskmgr[enter]) kunnen controleren wat je exacte wireless snelheid is als de twee laptops aan staan ?

Ik verwacht dat je Asus laptop ervoor zorgt dat de verbinding vast op 54 Mbps komt te staan, waarbij de verbinding met de Acer ook stabiel wordt op die snelheid.

Controleer eens in je taskmanager op welke snelheid je WiFi draait met en zonder Asus.

Op dit moment schommelt deze (beide notebooks aan) tussen de 104 en 130 Mbps op mijn Acer.

Op mijn Asus is dit 11Mbps.

De verwachting van Lies klopt dus niet volgens mij
