Het LG KF750 Secret modding topic

De LG Secret heeft vele mogelijkheden. Maar niemand kon tot nu toe thema's en mods aan het toestel toevoegen. Na lang surfwerk stuitte ik op de volgende pagina's:

De benodigdheden om toegang te krijgen tot het bestandssysteem van de Secret zijn:

• BlueSoleil 1.6 - 3.2
• Een bluetooth dongle/ een computer met bluetooth, want anders heb je niets aan BlueSoleil
• Een LG KF750 Secret

Ik heb het nog niet uitgeprobeerd, en alles is op eigen risico.

In het kort zeggen ze op de pagina's dat het menu in flash is gemaakt, en dat als je de flash menu bestanden van bijv. de Viewty te pakken zou krijgen, je die het bestaande menu kan laten vervangen. Ook heb je toegang tot de M-Toy swf's, wat het mss mogelijk maakt om ze naar de LG Cookie of Arena te porten. En je hebt waarschijnlijk zelfs de mogelijkheid om je telefoon te unlocken en debranden door het het aanpassen van flex.ini

Ik ben hier persoonlijk erg in geïnteresseerd, omdat het zelfs mogelijk is om de telefoon volledig touch te maken. De bestanden staan op de volgende site: http://www.mygreatphone.c...mods-lg-kf750-secret.html

Information about making the Secret FULL TOUCH.

The Touch Grid.
This is the grid that you see when you go into the Secret's service menu (Device>TouchScreen Test). If you press one square, you will notice a red dot that appears where you press it. This indicates that touch can be used becuase it can detect it in so many points.

The phone was not made for full touch, so a serious re-write of the filesystem may be needed for some areas of the phone (eg. smaller menus).

If the main menu is made from flash then this would fit extremely well into the Touch Grid and would not need any extra hacking as flash already is touch.


Questions

1)Can we write to the filesystem?
No, so far our hacking method only alows us to view & copy files from the filesystem. We cannot edit or add files.

2) Is there any possibility that we can make the phone full-touch?
Yes, there is a small possibility that the phone can be made full touch but no doubt we will exploit the touch capabilities as much as possible/

3) Are there any hacks so far?
No, see question 1 for reason.

4) Can we silence the camera sound?
No, see question 1 for reason.

5) Can I help in any way?

Hey Ho to the Community.

Ill try to write that tutorial in english four you, BUT im German so ill hope you can understand this!!

This walkthrough shoud be the basic for modding KF750 in style my be funcionality!

First of all:
THX goes to "stibby" for the idea of opening file system from Secret.

MUCH THX goes to "Curan" for the Video found on YouTube whitch gave us the posebility to try to exploit KF750 (YouTube - LG KU580 FileSystem "Hack")

SPECIAL THX to "power2b" for talking, planing and trying modding KF750.

Tutorial: Opening Filesystem from KF750

Abbreviations:
BT -> Bluetooth
BS -> BlueSoleil
FS -> File System
FW -> Firmware

View directorys cant be explored or copied.
I will write those in a List later after my explanation.

What do you need?

- Bluesoleil 1.6 - 3.2 Forum Downloads - Viewing Blue Soleil 1.6.2.1
- Bluetooth device (PC integrated or Bluetooth dongle for USB)

You can use Bluesoleil Version 1.6 up to 3.2.
If your PC bluetooth device istn regofnized by BS, try upper version than 1.6!

What do you need to do?

- start Bluesoleil
- let it connect to your bluetooth device OR insert BT-dongle to start Bluetooth
- dont ask me how to get Bluesoleil working and find your BT-device !!! Use google or HELP if it doesn work for you!

OK, if BT works on your Machine and BS acceptet it, you will see the NAME of your BT Device in the lower left from BS linke you can see on this picture:


- enable BT on your Mobile
- NOW, now left-click on the orange ball to searc for BT-devices out of yout PC
- if your mobile is detected, double left-click on it to refresh services OR follow the picture:


- NOW you can see the servides you can make over BT with your mobile. Select File-Trasfer-Service, linke you can see in the picture below:

Leftklick or rightklick and than choose connect.

- Enter the code you want @ BT and @ yout mobile (same code plz ^^
(choose what you want but type in the same in BS and mobile phone)

Tutorial: Exploring Filesystem from KF750

- Secret is little secrets in exploring the FS
- ALL FOLDER LINKS are in quotes, LEAVE IT when using BS!
- type "\..\" to get root of KF750 FS!

- now you can enter the shown paths, but you will not be able to enter sub directorys longer than "\..\Media\XXX\YYY"
-> YYY Subdirs arnt able to access!!!

- The SECRET is, that the folder "\" as you can see on the beginnung when you enter FS, is the same as "\..\Media\"
- THATS the point what let us going something deeper into the FS from KF750!
- ALL FOLDERS you will @ "\..\Media\" can be explored via "\"
For Example: You can see "Theme" folder in "\..\Media\"
You can enter it ("\..\Media\Theme"), but you wont get deeper.
Type "\Theme\" and you will get into this folder, and go 2 paths deepter into FS.
- YOU WILL NOT GET into the fourth subdirectory, if there is one.

NOTE: If you dont see anything into a folder, press refresh button and anter the Path with ending: "\"
for example: if you went from "\..\" to Media, you will have the Path "\..\Media" displayed in the pathline from BS.
If you cant see files, enter "\..\Media\" and press return, sometiomes you can also use the refresh button from BS to get a list of files in a folder !!

PATHs we cant enter yet are subdirectories after:

\..\Obigo\usr_data
\..\Obigo\stk\
\..\Obigo\ses\
\..\Obigo\ref\
\..\Obigo\ids\
\..\Obigo\brs\
\..\Media\Theme\0\Indicator\
\..\Media\Java\backup\private\
\..\Media\Java\backup\rms\
\..\Media\Java\ams\rms\
\..\Media\Java\ams\private\

Files we cant copy:

\..\Media\Frames\wallpaper.jpg

EDIT:

All ather files and Folders are accessable and i have made a backup of it.

What we can Change on KF750

- We can create new menu, the Flash files can be found here:
\..\Media\PhnMenuFlash\ or \PhnMenuFlash\

- We can change event sounds:
\..\Media\Event sounds\ or \Event sounds\

- We can modify all BMPs you can reach AND all PAF-files. There are tools out there which converts PAF to BMP and back.

- We can modify the existing Themes:
\Theme\

- We can COPY and ACCESS files/directories until we reach the 4th one in a folder sequence.
Note that you can access folders in "\..\Media\" also over "\FOLDERNAME\"

- We can UNLOCK the Phone via modifying \felx\flex.ini

- We can modify the TOUCH Media Menu, may be create a new fulltouch menü for Secret
\..\Media\FingerPad\ or \FingerPad\

Yes we can because thats the configurations for Branding and Simlock:

Ik was benieuwd of je ondertussen al iets geprobeerd had. Ik ben zelf ook wel geïntresseerd om de mogelijkheden uit te breiden, maar ik maak liever niet iets kapot althans niet zolang ik geen andere telefoon heb en dat gaat denk ik nog wel een jaartje duren

Nee, moet ik nog steeds doen.
Maar ik ben nu mijn telefoon kwijt aan de reparateur ivm constant uitvallen. Ligt niet aan dat ik iets in het FS heb geprobeerd!
