It's too bad. Somewhere in Rocco's misguided development, someone had a few good ideas. The remote control, for instance, is big and responsive and controls every aspect of Rocco's console. The speaker wires are actually attached to the speakers, so half of the installation is done for you. The satellites themselves have little rubber feet permanently attached, so they don't need stands.
Yes, there are conveniences, but pointing them out is like complimenting the shiny cigarette lighter in a car that doesn't start. All the convenience in the world can't save a product whose primary function is done so horrifyingly, malignantly poorly.
If somebody were to purchase the Jazz Speakers Rocco 5.1 on our recommendation, we'd be honor bound to commit seppuku immediately. Thankfully, since it's almost impossible to find a retailer that carries them, the chances of them falling into the hands of any of our readers is slim. Even if you come across them at an unbelievable price--say, in an unopened box at a garage sale for five bucks--don't buy them. You have been warned.
